The first step I took once I got my #tinyhousetrailer was to flash it and attach 2x8s to the sides to have something for the sheathing to attach to. (The last 2.5 feet of the trailer was for the deck therefore it wasn't flashed.) Rather than just use thin sheet metal, I had the manufacturer weld 3/16" thick steel sheets to the bottom of the trailer frame (the closed cell spray foam insulation would seal all the edges...).
