Boreal Forests/Taiga

uhhhh hi guys idk I don't use Tumblr but I want to but idk what to so I get stressed out and don't. (btw boreal forests and taiga are kinda the same thing just taiga is usually referring to the top top bit near the tundra and boreal for the southern party (CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG IM STILL LEARNING ABOUT THIS) Im gonna ramble but I LOVE BOREAL AND TAIGA FORESTS so here are 3!!!! of some of my fav fun facts about them (from a year 11 studying geo OOOO YEAH)

Number 1. they are the earths largest biome (on land ocean doesn't count) and they are found around the top of the earth in countries like Canada, Russia and parts of Europe (I know it a continent whatever blah blah blah)

2222. The word 'Boreas' comes from this Greek Gods name and he was the god of the north wind (get it because northern countries)

threee. Canada's (the country with the 2nd most boreal/taiga forests (after Russia)) Forest have 85 species of Mammals, 130 species of fish, ~32,000 species of insects AND 300 species of birds
