I'm actually so upset lmfao
So update on my tailbone. We went in for a follow-up and the doctor was immediately like "im so sorry for you, girl" (she was so sweet- dif person from the one I initially saw obv)
The perosn who took the xrays initially thought it was weird, but the radiologist said it was a birth defect. So you would expect a tiny irregularity, right? NO?!?!?!
Yes, birth defects can make your tailbone point outwards. Usually not by a lot, plus you would complain a lot earlier bc obviously you'd be in discomfort. I've never dealt with that before.
And the doctor said she hadn't even seen it before (works specifically as an orthopedic- bone -doctor) and she gave us our options.
I have to get an MRI to see the extent of the damage an make sure its not a birth defect. After that i will be referred to a bone surgeon to find out which of the following would be best:
Injections that temporarily relive pain
Surgery (might remove part of tailbone or just put it back in place)
Or this crazy thing where they stick their fingers up my hoohhah and but hole to push the bone back into place (done with sedation) they will either do this all in one, or periodically.
So this is all so fun. Glad to know I'm not a drama queen. The donut butt pillow doesn't even work for me btw for clear reasons.
