The mission may not have gone off exactly like he'd hoped it would have but it had been successful, and in his mind that was what was important. Of course, the cuts across his face told another story and once he had a moment or two to himself he'd use the healing rune. Jace had just been focusing on returning to the institute before all of their movements attracted the wrong sort of attention. Even with them hiding from the mundanes some still got too curious for their own good and that only added to the amount of work that did on a daily basis.
