“Hmm. Val’s tough, well I mean... He seems really unapproachable at first, honestly. Intimidating and stuff with how formal and proper he is. I didn’t think I’d actually get along well with him, either... But! He’s really actually kind and helpful, just extremely blunt about things at times. I admire that he really knows how to dress nicely, and it was really sweet of him to help me out. I’m still shocked he wanted me to help him, though! And flattered that he trusted me to help him pick out some casual clothes... I’m still a little confused about that, but it was fun to help the guy out.
I did really have a fun time hanging out with him and picking out clothes an stuff. It’s great to see him smiling too, I only wish he’d relax and do it way more often. I feel bad about judging him at first a bit from what little interaction I’d had previously, because I’m kinda similar...so I wasn’t in a position to judge at all when I have that same problem of being distant and what not. He really is sweet once you get to know him. I kinda feel like we’re two sides to the same coin, we both take a bit to warm up to people and...well, yeah.”
