ELIZABETH AVERY - PUREBLOOD - KAREN GILLAN - TAKEN CHARMS ASSISTANT
Elizabeth Avery is the oldest daughter of Ignatius and Lucinda Avery, born into one of the Sacred 28 Pureblood families. Like many other pureblood girls, she was taught from a young age the value of acting like a good, proper pureblood. Her mother instructed her that her job was to always remain dignified, but her father always seemed to interest her more. He was one of Voldemort’s followers, and she found his cloak and mask, when she was 8 and found herself interested in what her father did. She was told that good little girls didn’t concern themselves with those matters, and she respected her mother’s wishes and let it be. But her curiosity was piqued, and she did not forget. As she went through Hogwarts, she found herself more drawn to the dark magic than some of the lessons that she was put through. But she was not one of those girls that was frequently found in Slytherin house. She did well in school, especially Charms, and eventually, taught herself how to mix Dark Magic and Charms.
Once she left Hogwarts, she went on to get a job working at Borgin and Burke’s against her parents wishes. Her mother didn’t understand why she couldnt just settle with a pureblood, so that their family honor would continue to be preserved. But that’s not the life that Beth wanted for herself. When she was 21, she found herself finally knowing what it meant to serve the Dark Lord, and she knew that she wanted that for herself. But, she also knew that women were not freely accepted into it, so she started doing what she could, torturing a few people here and there, in an effort to hopefully prove herself. Her mother finds this behavior displeasing and her father doesn’t say much about it.
Finally, she took a job at Hogwarts this summer and will start in the fall as the new Charms Assistant. Beth still hasn’t received her mark, but she did manage to get her father to talk to the people who recruit for the Death Eaters, and she has offered to do tasks for them, as a means to get what she wants, in the end, or at least she hopes. She is good at hiding her true desires from people, can come off levelheaded and sweet. But in the end, she’ll do what it takes to finally hopefully achieve her lifetime goal of being allowed to serve him, and she will stop at nothing to get it.
