Open starter for Takeru: Don’t judge a book by its cover!
I should have known that my father would sooner or later reach out to me. Most people would assume that he simply wanted to get his lost son, but people were all so wrong. My father simply wanted to get the black sheep of the family under control so I would do what was best for the family or more precisely better for him.
How many times had we played this game so far? I couldn’t remember, but I no that this meeting would end no different from the others. I glanced at my father and tried my best not to show any emotion like he did always with me. He found out where I worked and now he was standing there and looking at me like this job was below me.
But no matter what he said I wouldn’t back down. I wanted to live my life the way I wanted and I would do that. I could feel my lips curl up into a small smile as I saw someone leave the car that had my father brought here. I looked into the older man’s eyes and the smile stayed to mock him.
“You really mean bringing someone here will change my mind?” I asked in a slightly teasing tone before glancing at the person approaching me. “How about we go on a little drive and I will tell your visitor exactly what type of man you are?” I asked while curiously waiting what would happen next.
