Takeru Week 2022 - Day 6: Sunshine/Happiness
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: Roleplaying Characters: Takeru Takaishi, Kimi Takaishi (OC), Kenichi Takaishi (OC), Aiko Takenouchi Ishida (OC) and Mimi Tachikawa. Summary: Takeru and Kimi decide to do a roleplay to entertain the Chosen Children's kids. Takeru carefully closed the door from his son’s bedroom and went to the living room, where Kimi was lying on the couch watching TV. “How many stories tonight?” She asked with a smile while he sat down and she placed her legs over his. “Three. There weren’t so many this time.” “He must be tired from the day.” “Most likely.” He looked at his wife. “So I’ve been thinking lately.” “About what?” Kimi sat up straight and crossed her legs. “About starting a reading group.” He followed her suit and they exchanged glances. “I’ve been telling you this for a long time and now you finally decided to do it.” “Yeah, I deserved that.” “What happened?” “Reading to Kenichi for so many nights in row made me realize how much I missed doing this.” “Did something specific happen?” “No, nothing specific.” “Not even a certain story?” “What is this? An inquiry?” “I was just wondering if maybe there was a fairy tale you had to read for our son tonight. Say, maybe Cinderella?” “What?” Takeru raised his eyebrows at her. “How do you even know about that?” “Well…” “Wait a second. You set this up!” “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” “Sure you do.” He pressed on. “You told Kenichi to ask me to read Cinderella for him, because you remembered it was the story I read when you watched our group reading session for the first time.” “Do you really think I’d be that sneaky?” “You want me to be honest or not?” “Okay, I got your point. I asked him that indeed.” She put her hair behind her ear. “I hope you’re not angry at me for doing this and what I did was probably selfish, but I just think this is something you were born to do. It’s clear how much you enjoy it, and you shouldn’t turn away from it. There, I said it.” “Alright.” “I’m sorry if I was too honest with you, but I had to be.” “It’s okay.” “Are you gonna keep giving me these short responses or are we actually going to talk about how you’re feeling?” Takeru sighed and finally looked back at Kimi. “I’m not sure how I feel about this.” “Well, you can start by saying why this is something you reject so much. It’s very clear to me you’re having an internal conflict about it, because I can tell you want to do it. So why hold back?” “Group reading won’t pay our bills, will it?” “So that’s what this is about.” She leaned against the side support of the couch. “Money.” He didn’t say anything, simply bit his lower lip, and she went on. She leaned towards him and held his hand within hers. “No one said you should live by this. Of course group reading isn’t paying our bills, it’s supposed to be a hobby. More so, it’s a way to bring you and our son close, as well as you and the rest of the Chosen Children’s kids.” “Hmm… when you put it like that…” “You’ll get to be the cool uncle.” “Cooler, you mean? Because I’m already the cool one.” “Tone down your ego, Mr. Writer.” Kimi teased with a smile. “Fine.” Takeru rolled his eyes, pretending to be annoyed. “Will you help me deciding what story to tell them?” “Does that mean you’re doing it?” “I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try.” “Great. Of course I will help you.” She threw her legs down and stood up. “Do you want to do it now?” “No, we can wait a few days. We still haven’t set a date yet.” He followed her suit and walked to her, running his hand over her arms. “I was thinking we could so something else tonight. Something cooler, something more exciting.” “Takeru, Kenichi is sleeping next door.” “I didn’t mean that.” He leaned closer to her and started kissing her neck, causing her to moan softly. “Of course you didn’t.” She wrapped her arms around his back and closed her eyes, enjoying their moment alone together.

Takeru Week 2022 - Day 3: Childhood and Growth
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: Morning In The Park Characters: Takeru Takaishi, Natsuko Takaishi, Yamato Ishida, Hikari Yagami and Patamon. Summary: Takeru in three different moments of his life. “Daddy! Yamato!” Takeru screamed and tried to reach them, but they kept on walking away from him. “No!” “Takeru! Takeru!” A gentle voice called his name and he slowly opened his eyes. “Huh?” He sat down and noticed he was sitting on his bed, in the dark. He took a few deep breaths to ease his breathing pace. “Were you dreaming about them?” Natsuko asked softly and sat him on her lap. “I miss them, mommy.” His eyes got teary. “Won’t they come back anymore?” “I’m sorry, sweetie.” She felt a lump on her throat and bit her lower lip not to cry. “They won’t.” “Are me and Yamato bad children?” “What are you talking about, Takeru? You aren’t bad children at all. You are amazing ones.” “Then why can’t we be together again?” “It’s complicated, son.” Natsuko tried her best not to look at his sad blue eyes. “It didn’t have anything to do with you and Yamato, I promise. It’s about me and your father.” “You don’t love him?” “I should have known you’d ask me about this.” A very subtly smile appeared on her lips and disappeared very fast. “Of course I love your father.” “Then why can’t he stay here?” “It’s complicated, Takeru. I’ll tell you when you grow up and is old enough to understand.” “I already am.” He protested and wiped the tears from his eyes to prove his point. “You’re three years old.” She couldn’t help but giggle a little. “Are you feeling better now?” Takeru looked at her and nodded. Natsuko then placed him back on his car-shaped bed and covered him with his blankets. “Great, so try to go back to sleep. Mommy needs to wake up early to work and you have to go to the nursery school.” She leaned over and kissed his forehead. “Good night, Takeru.” “Mommy.” “What is it, darling?” She looked at him over her shoulder and saw he was looking back at her. “I’m scared, I can’t sleep. Can you tell me a story?” “Takeru, mommy needs to wake up in two hours and needs to sleep.” “Please, mommy.” He begged. “I can’t today, I’m sorry.” She turned on the faint yellow light from the lamp a little more. “Is it better now?” “I don’t want to sleep here tonight, mommy.” “Then where are you going to sleep?” “With you.” He grinned the way he knew always won her over. “Alright.” Natsuko walked to him and picked him up. “Just for tonight.” “Thanks.” He hugged her tight. “I love you, mommy.” She couldn’t help but smile listening to what he had just said. “I love you too, Takeru. Do you want to take Mr. Fluffy with you?” “Yes.” He stretched his little arms when she brought it towards him and hugged him tight. Natsuko turned off the lamp light and closed the door from his bedroom, heading to her own one.

Takeru Week 2022 - Day 7: Hope & Despair
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: The Call Characters: Takeru Takaishi, Patamon, Yamato Ishida, Natsuko Takaishi and Hiroaki Ishida. Summary: Takeru receives some bad news and has to go back to Odaiba. Takeru didn’t know how long he had been sitting on his bed with his face hidden behind his hands. His phone was still lying on it, on his left, since the call was ended. He knew he was supposed to do something, but shock hit him so hard he couldn’t move. The words were still echoing in his mind.
“Hello?” “May I speak to Takeru Takaishi, please?” “This is he. Who’s talking?” “Hello, Mr. Takaishi. This is from the Odaiba hospital. I’m afraid we have some bad news.” “Bad news?” Takeru felt his blood flow stop and his pressure go down. “Your mother has been hospitalized.” “What?!” He asked in shock. “Is she okay?” “She’s stable now, but we advise you to come see her. She gave us your number for emergency contact.” “I don’t understand, you said she was stable. What happened to her?” “There’s been an accident.” “Oh God! She’s not dying, is she?” “No, no, the paramedics arrived just in time. She should be okay.” “Thank God.” “Can you come over?” “Sure. It might take a while though, I’m living in Kyoto in the moment.” “I see. Is there anyone who lives near you can get in touch with?” “Yes, yes. My brother lives there. I’ll call him and tell him to go there as fast as he can. Thanks for calling me.” “You’re welcome.” Takeru grabbed his phone after he took his time to pull himself together and called Yamato. “Takeru, are you okay?” Patamon landed on his shoulder and looked at him. “You seem worried about something.” “I will talk to you in a second, Patamon. I really need to talk to Yamato right now, it’s important.” “Okay.” “Hello?” “Yamato, can you talk right now?” “Sure. Takeru, is everything okay?” “I need you to do me a favor.” “Okay, but I’m getting seriously worried and scared by the tone of your voice.” “Mom got involved in a car accident.” “What did you say?!” He nearly screamed, feeling alarmed. “Is she alright?” “I got a call from the hospital. They said she’s stable and they want someone to go stay with her there. I was wondering if you could, since you’re closest at the moment.” “Of course, I can do that. Does dad know about it?” “No, I haven’t told him yet. I’ll do it when I get back to Odaiba.” “You’re coming to Odaiba?” “Of course I am. Mom had a car accident. I need to see her.” “Okay, okay. I’m heading there. I’ll see you soon.” “See you soon.” Takeru dropped the hand that was holding his phone and curled his other one into a fist. “Takeru.” Patamon landed on his usual place above his head. “I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. Are you okay?” “I am.” He tried to sound reassuring, but he didn’t know whether to himself or to his partner. But he knew deep down Patamon wouldn’t believe him, but he also knew when not to ask further questions. “I need to go back to Odaiba, but…” “But what?” “I don’t know what I’m going to find there. What if they lied to me on the phone and I find out she…” Takeru couldn’t bring himself to finish his sentence; the mere thought of his mother not being there anymore made him wince and shiver for a moment. “Takeru.” “Patamon, do you think… do you think I made the right decision coming here?” “What are you talking about? Of course you did.” “If I was there, I could have… I would have…” “This isn’t your fault, Takeru. There’s nothing you could have done to stop this.” “I know, but at least I would be closer to her.” “There’s no way you could have known this would happen. Do you know if she had any enemies or something?” “I have no idea.” Takeru walked to his chest of drawers and started pulling some clothes out. “But I’m sure no one could ever hate mom, once they knew her deep down.” “So don’t blame yourself. I know she wouldn’t like it.” Patamon landed on the bed. “What are you doing?” “I need to go back to Odaiba.” He replied in a hurry as he grabbed a bag and stuffed his clothes inside.

Takeru Week 2022 - Day 5: Style/Fashion
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: Suits and Dresses Characters: Takeru Takaishi, Yamato Ishida, Sora Takenouchi, Taichi Yagami and Kimi Shincai (OC). Summary: Takeru asks for Sora's help to change his fashion style, much to Yamato's and Taichi's envy. Takeru walked down the streets of Odaiba towards his father’s apartment. Yamato invited him to spend the day over there and do brother stuff together, since they barely hung out together anymore. He noticed he was attracting some attention from people on the street and couldn’t help but wonder if there was something with his clothes. He quickly shook his head and pushed these thoughts away.
He politely knocked on the door before letting himself in, though he already permission to come in without having to wait for someone to open the door for him. Patamon immediately flew off towards the kitchen when he smelled food. “Yamato?” Takeru walked into the kitchen after he had put on his usual blue flip flops that were still by the door. “Hey.” Yamato turned around and greeted his brother with a grin. “I’m preparing some snacks for us.” “Do you need any help with it?” “No, I’m almost done. But thank you.” He examined his younger brother up and down carefully. “What?” “Nothing.” He turned back to his task. “I was just looking at your outfit.” “People on the street were too.” Takeru looked down at his own body. “Is there something wrong with it?” “No, but it’s quite… bold for you. I didn’t know you were into dark tones like this dark blue on your T-shirt.” “Usually I’m not. But I thought I’d try something new, you know? Expand my horizons a little and allow myself to try different clothes and accessories.” “That certainly explains why you’re wearing a black hat.” “Oh.” He looked up and immediately took it off. “I forgot about it for a moment. Do you think it’s too much?” “No, I think it’s great to change your style sometimes. But you’re not doing it to impress someone, are you?” “What do you mean?” “You don’t have any feelings for someone and are trying to impress them, do you?” “I don’t, I swear.” Takeru replied quickly and nervously. “I’m not doing this for anyone, believe me.” “Good.” “However, I’m inspiring on you.” He admitted. “So I was thinking you could give me some advice.” “I’m inspiring you?!” Yamato was completely caught by surprise and raised his eyebrows. He stopped what he was doing and turned to face his brother, leaning against the sink. “But I don’t dress well enough to be an inspiration.” “Please, you’re one of the top five best dressed guys from Odaiba High School.” “What? Who came up with this list?” “I don’t know, but it has certainly run around the entire school. I’m surprised you didn’t know about it until now.” “Anyway, it doesn’t matter. It’s just a stupid list. So… what kind of advice do you want?” “I don’t know.” Takeru shrugged. “Where did you get your inspiration from?” “Anywhere, honestly. I make up my own fashion sense, just like you do.” “Are you saying you never bought anything to please Sora before?” “That’s right.” Yamato looked at him and then rolled his eyes, annoyed. He hated how well Takeru could read him sometimes. “Okay, fine. I might have once or twice.” “I knew it.” “Anyway, what kind of advice you want?” “I don’t know… maybe we could go shopping together?” “Okay, but I think you should find your own style. I mean, clothes are very personal. Not everything that looks good on me would look good on you and that’s perfectly normal.” “I know, that’s why I’m not inspiring on you completely. I want to have my own style too.” “Great. So we can do it later today, if that’s okay for you.” “Of course.”

Takeru Week 2022 - Day 4: Relationships
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: Meeting The Family Characters: Takeru Takaishi, Kimi Shincai (OC), Natsuko Takaishi, Hiroaki Ishida, Misaki Shincai (OC), Haruto Shincai (OC), Yamato Ishida and Sora Takenouchi. Summary: Takeru and Kimi have their first date and meet each other's parents for the first time. Takeru was surprised that he was feeling so nervous before a date. It was something new for him and he didn’t know what to think of it. He’s been in many dates before and always felt very at ease with it. “Hi.” Kimi’s soft voice echoed in his ears and he turned around with a wide grin on his lips. She couldn’t help but smile back at him. “Did I make you wait too long?” “Not at all.” He shook his head and stood up. “I have to say, you chose a good place for a date.” “You should never take a public relations’ opinion for granted. She might surprise you.” “I’ll make sure to remember that.” “Good. So shall we go in?” “Of course. After you.” “A gentleman, I see.” “You haven’t seen anything yet.”
Takeru was amazed by the whole decoration in the bar. There were some neon signs on the walls and the illumination was a yellow tone. They had to walk through a hall to get into another area of the bar. This one was much more modern that the one they had just left, but the neon decoration was still part of it. Kimi headed to a table in the back of the room and he followed her closely. “Here we are. What did you think of it?” “I think it’s really cool. The decoration is pretty amazing. How did you find this place?” “I have my resources.” She said mysteriously and smiled. “I’m just kidding, some classmates had come here before and recommended it to us.” “That’s very nice.” “It is.” Kimi grabbed the menu and started looking through it to decide what to order. “So you’re studying Languages, huh? Are you planning on being a teacher or something?” “A writer.” Takeru did the same as her. “I want to publish a book, actually.” “Really?” She asked surprised. “About what?” “About some memories. I could tell you more about it, but I want it to be a surprise to everyone.” “Oh, alright. So it will be a biographical book?” “Not exactly. It’s not the story of my life. I just have something really cool I wanna share and also remember forever physically.” “Whatever it is that you’re writing, I’m sure you’ll get the result you want.” “Thank you, Kimi.” He gave her a small smile. “Do you know what you’re going to order yet?” “Yeah, the coconut and chocolate milkshake and the Australian hamburger. I heard it’s the best one here.” “Their meals have country names? How cool!” “They do. I highly recommend the Italian one too.” “I might go with this one then. And ice tea.” “Nice choice. I’m going to get the waiter then. Do you want anything else?” “No, I’m alright.” “Great.” Kimi raised her hand to call the nearest waiter and turned her attention back to Takeru while waiting for him to get there. “So why did you choose Public Relations?” “Because it would be very helpful to achieve my dream to work with events. Indeed it was, now I’m working as an intern in one of the most important companies about it in Kyoto and its region.” “Are you graduated?” “No, I’m in my final year. I can’t wait to graduate though.” “Time flew by so fast, huh? It seems like yesterday when we met and it was a year and a half ago.” “Has it really been that long?” “It has. I still remember how much you wanted to get into our reading group, but hesitating. It took me quite an effort to convince you to do it.” “Not quite, though. It was lifetime opportunity to see you reading Cinderella for children.” “You’re welcome.” He grinned brightly at her. “Don’t be so full of yourself.” “I never am.”
“So you’re saying you never did this?” Kimi asked surprised when they walked into the park. “Not since I was a child.” Takeru confirmed. “My brother and I did this every single night when we lived together.” “I thought it was something a lot of people did on dates, but now I think it’s just me. I absolutely love staring at the moon and the stars.” “So you basically took every guy you went out with to a park to watch them?” “You make it seem like I dated a lot of guys.” She couldn’t help but find the whole situation amazing. “But I really didn’t. And to answer your question, no, I didn’t take every guy I dated to a park. Only the ones I thought had the potential to be something more.” “So is it safe to assume that’s how you feel about us?” “Maybe.” Kimi said mysteriously and reached for his hand. “Come on, I know just the perfect spot to lie down and stare at the sky.”
Takeru knew understood right away why Kimi loved that spot. He was immediately taken back to his childhood, and a smile crept into his lips. “You’re welcome.” Her voice echoed in his ear and he turned his head to look at her. He was met by such a beautiful smile he couldn’t help but smile back at her. “Don’t you just think this is the perfect way to end a beautiful night?” “Absolutely.” Suddenly he didn’t care about watching the sky; he had a much prettier sight right next to him. “You’re not even looking at it.” “I already am, trust me.” “I bet you said that to many women before.” “I didn’t, I swear.” “I’m not sure I believe you.” “There’s only one way to find out. Are you willing to do it?” “I’ll take the risk.” She slid closer to him and pressed her lips against his very timidly, just to know what his reaction would be. Takeru wasted no time in sliding his hand to the back of her head and rolled her back, so he was pinning her on the ground with his chest pressed against hers. His tongue entered her mouth and Kimi took it in with a smile as she wrapped her arms around his neck. For the first time in a long time, she didn’t want to watch the moon above.
