January 2025 Digimon Redraw Event

Hello Chosen around the globe!

Camp Digimonth is hosting a Digimon screenshot redraw event in January 2025! To participate, redraw a screenshot from any Digimon media, of any characters/scene! Redraws of merchandise/promotional art are also allowed! Background redraws too, Digimon has some gorgeous scenery.

The redraw event is open to anyone who is interested, not just Chosen Campers on the Camp Digimonth server! To have you work reblogged to the Camp Digimonth blog, simply:

-Make sure the image obeys the Camp Digimonth content rules (additionally, no naked or shirtless characters)

-You must include the original screenshot that you are drawing. The comparison is half the fun :D

-All entries must be positive (no character bashing/season bashing/ship bashing/etc)

-@ this blog and tag all entries: #digimonredraw2025

-Reblogs will take place from January 1-31, 2025

Hello, everyone! Thank you for your patience! Apologies for the delay in this announcement:

We are happy to announce that the dates for Taichi Yagami Week 2024 will be July 7th to July 13th!

This year, we're mixing things up. The prompts follow a theme - "Ft. The Chosen"! Therefore, all of the prompts center around Taichi's friends, the other Chosen Children!

As such, the prompts will be as follows:

July 7th: Taichi & Yamato

July 8th: Taichi & Sora

July 9th: Taichi & Jou

July 10th: Taichi & Takeru

July 11th: Taichi & Mimi

July 12th: Taichi & Koushiro

July 13th: Taichi & Hikari

Since the votes were split on the month & the theme for prompts, I used random generator methods to decide the timing and theme for the event. Regardless of month, most votes wanted the second week of whichever month!

A note: I will be away during the week of the event, and as of right now, I am rather unsure about my access to Internet. Theoretically, I should be fine to reblog entries during a certain time each day, but I will not know for a while. It is entirely possible I will need to recruit someone to help manage the blog while I'm away. Stay tuned for that announcement!

Camp Digimonth 2025 Goals

It's January 1! Happy New Year! Time to declare my Camp Digimonth 2025 goals, yaaay! For info on the Camp Digimonth Tumblr event, please check here!

-Complete at least one drawing for the Digimon Screenshot Redraw event. I will at least be trying to redraw an image of Miyako from Kizuna, I've already started the sketch. Queen is gorgeous in that film.

-I've been taking a break from sharing my fandom stuff (more here). I also locked my last open fics on AO3 to logged in readers only following the latest case of an individual/company stealing fanfics for profit. I do have a 12 year tradition of updating on my birthday, so... I am hoping to share the next chapter of Infinite Possibilities on Jan 17. We'll see if I can get it polished and if I feel up to it/if we can go a few weeks with no mass fanfic theft x_x

-Continue editing After August to book bind. I started my edits by just trying to remove some typos (proofreading), but uhhh it turns out 2019 was *checks watch* FIVE YEARS AGO. WAIT, SIX!!!! So uh... Proofreading shifted to editing.

Don't worry, though, I'm not making any real changes. Just improving clarity and sentence flow (and proofreading, ofc).

-Gather screenshots and cover images used in After August for book bind.

Hello, everyone! Thank you very much for your patience, and for the enthusiastic response to the survey! After compiling the results, I am happy to announce that Takari Week 2024 will be taking place from August 11th to August 17th!

The most sought-after theme for the prompts was "Over the Years," so the prompts will be as follows:

August 11th: First Summer

August 12th: Second Year

August 13th: Third Meeting

August 14th: Fourth Contact

August 15th: Fifth Adventure

August 16th: Sixth Ending

August 17th: Seventh Beginning

In case it wasn't clear, I took the prompt inspirations from the seven main pieces of Digimon Adventure media in which Takeru and Hikari appear. As always, feel free to interpret the prompts as you see fit!

Takeru Weekend 2024

We are very excited to announce the 3rd Takeru celebration event! It's gonna be a 4-day event, from December 6 to December 9. The prompts are in the banner, but under the cut there wil be a few ideas to help you with each day. We decided to reuse the same prompts as last year's. Any questions you have, feel free to send us an ask or a DM!

Day 1 (December 6th, 2024): Childhood

The day to explore Takeru's life as a child, taking place before, during or after the Adventure and 02 series.

Suggested topics:

Crest of hope

Patamon (and his evolution)

Hobbies and interests

Day 2 (December 7th, 2024): Teenage Years

This day will focus Takeru's adolescence and teenage years, centering around the tri series.

Day 3 (December 8th, 2024): College Years

The 3rd day of the event will be about Takeru's adult years....and beyond. We'll dive into Takeru's experiences within Kizuna and/or The Beginning, and even a few years after college.

Day 4 (December 9th, 2024): Adulthood

Hello, everyone! Thank you to everyone who filled out the survey for the event. I have compiled all the results as to what our prompts this year will be!

Since it seems the proposed dates worked for a majority of possible participants, Survive Week will indeed take place from January 28th to February 3rd!

The prompts will be as follows:

January 28th: A New World

January 29th: Cooperation

January 30th: Other Digi - Er, Kemonogami

January 31st: Supporting Characters

February 1st: Villains

February 2nd: Dark & Loss*

February 3rd: Post-Game/Future

*These are two separate prompts that were vague enough, I figured they could work for the same day!

Since the "Post-Game/Future" prompt was so overwhelmingly popular, I went with the individual prompts rather than the characters-as-prompts idea. If there is enough interest for another event in 2025 (oh gosh, the future...), then we can surely revisit that idea! For now, I hope these prompts allow the creative juice to flow!!
