‘ I thought I would never see you again-- ‘ his voice is soft as he speaks, unwilling to break the absolute silence completely, for the elemental needs it sorely right now. Vlad had been visiting a lot over the last few weeks, just waiting for the day when Diarmad would awaken from his sleep; come back to him, to the world of living again. He was well aware that his actions had impacted the others well being gravely and had he actually been within a few feet of his other half when it happened, he might have been able to prevent the inevitable. An elemental though he was, they had been sure to tamper with his energy as much as his body and though he had been impaled - courtesy of a blade held by a turk in the midst of Vlad’s stance against them, draining him of s o much blood, his life was hanging in the balance, he had also been tortured prior to the final blow and the vampire hadn’t gotten there in time to put a stop to it. Night after night he cried over what he assumed was a body that wasn’t going to heal from the wounds it had endured, but when the others eyes finally opened, grief in all its forms took a hold of the prince and he bowed his head - quietly praising all above whom had brought the one he loved back to him.
