Breakfast Headcanons for the different families in my “Shokugeki no Kimiko”-Verse. For...some reason.

The Yukihiras (SoRina Family)
When Hiraku & Kimiko were still going to the local school, Soma and Erina always had a competition every night after the restaurant closed over who’d get “Bento-Rights” the next morning. Whoever won got to make the Bento obviously ahdh.
Soma really loves to make them all kinds of Onigarazu, while Erina has developed her own kind of honey-pork dumplings, that Hiraku in specific loves a lot
During the week, while the children get their bento for school, the adults usually each make an individual, quick breakfast for themselves at different times. Although with Soma and Erina of course they are proud enough of their creations to urge the other that they should have a taste as well.
Once they’re old enough, Kimiko & Hiraku tend to take over breakfast on weekends as the family is more prone to breakfast together on these.
EGGS, lots of EGG-DISHES. What household do you think this is?
The Nakiris (RyoAli Family)
Back when the Nakiri-Twins were smol, Alice & Ryo made a great effort to be around them as much as they can...so they usually also ate breakfast as a family. When the twins are older and can take better care of themselves it decreases a little but ultimately this family still does eat breakfast together at least once a week.
Usually it’s prepared by one of the cherry-picked chefs working in the Nakiri-Mansion, but being great chefs themselves one of the family-members tends to prepare breakfast as well at times.
Once Akio Hayama moves into the the Nakiri Mansion he sometimes prepares breakfast as well, but more on that later.
They tend to have a rather sumptuous breakfast, with a lot of options to pick from: Various types of cheese, croissants and other pastries, freshly-baked bread, fruit...etc. Some Instagram-worthy stuff.
Despite all these luxuries, Mona and Lola Nakiri never fail to voice that they prefer when their parents cook breakfast.

The Hayamas (AkiSako Family)
Akira and Hisako both don’t like other people preparing their breakfast. Whenever the Hayama-Family is staying at a hotel, these two are sulking at the hotel buffet.
Akira & Hisako quite frankly love to prepare breakfast for their children and, while not always, they do tend to do it together. With these two teaming up it’s usually a very healthy, energizing breakfast.
But despite the teamwork, these two also have some competition going on every morning as Hisako prepares tea, while Akira prepares coffee. The competition is about which drink their children will pick up (who like both). Real fancy tea blends & coffee-combinations are born in this competition.
Kaori & Akio pick up a lot from their parents. It’s become common knowledge around the E10 that Akio makes the best tea, while Kaori could 100% work as a barista if she wasn’t a cook. And they both have a lot of breakfast-recipes stored in their head.
Once Akio moves into the Nakiri-mansion because of Hiraku, he actually does prepare breakfast from time to time. At first he usually eats on his own, because he feels awkward sitting at the same table as the headmistress but Alice’s pushy nature get him to sit with them in the end.
The Japan Aldinis/Aldini-Tadokoros (IsaMegu Family)
Megumi and Isami prepare breakfast together almost every day. It’s a great way of bonding for them. It usually turns out to be a pretty rural-breakfast but it’s very comforting and their children love.
Yes, they bake their own bread. I believe in this firmly.
Hiroshi Aldini-Tadokoro, when old enough, also tends to help out with breakfast or he goes out to pick some berries. Maja and Nino Aldini-Tadokoro often end up settling the table. This is more for weekends though.
During the week, Megumi & Isami make bentos. Bentos for the kids and Megumi also makes one for Isami, while Isami makes one for her. He even came up with an “Italian-Styled Bento” just for this.
The Tuscany Aldinis (TakuIku Family)
They don’t always manage to, but really try their best to eat together as a family. In Summer specifically. They always eat outside when the temperatures are warm enough.
There’s three kinds of breakfast: When Ikumi prepares it, it’s usually the very healthy, nutritious kind that actual athletes would eat. Like idk, greek yogurt with fruit and chia-seeds, avocado-sandwiches...meep.
When Takumi prepares it, it’s a sumptuous but also cozy European breakfast including lots of freshly picked tomatoes, egg, sausages etc.
And then there’s the times when their daughter Mika prepares breakfast, even bringing it to her parent’s bed when she’s awake before them. Mika usually finds a middle ground between her mother’s breakfast style and her father’s breakfast style.
The Ibusakis (ShuYoko Family)
Ryoko makes very traditional bentos on weekdays.
On weekends, she goes out even more and sets the table very lovingly. Shun also involves himself and smokes some bacon, eggs or so.
Ryoko has found herself a hobby in jam-producing. In the nearby forest (the Ibusakis live close to one), she tends to pick berries (or Kasumi does that for her), or gets some fruit from the market in their small village and she makes jam out of them. She came up with some truly delicious combinations on her own. Yuki always takes at least 10 glasses with her, whenever the Maruis are over.
Shun probably also bakes bread himself at times, idk I can just picture him doing that.
The Maruis (MarYu Family)
Yuki makes Bentos for Takahiro (and back when Chieko wasn’t on Totsuki, also for her ofc) during the week. And she always includes some animal designs. Because she’s Yuki.
They don’t always breakfast together on Saturday but they sure do on Sundays. This is a sacred tradition to Yuki. If it’s sunday and all of the family-members are home...They will have breakfast together.
Zenji gets send out to get bread and usually he also buys some pastries or cakes for the children (and Yuki).
Yuki meanwhile prepares the best (according to Takahiro) hot chocolate for Takahiro & Chieko (and herself).
Zenji drinks coffee or tea meanwhile.
Chieko really loves to have blueberries at breakfast. So sometimes Yuki incorporates them into pancakes. She likes making pancakes.
The Hojos (Terunori Kuga x Miyoko Hojo Fam)
They tend to end up eating together. Suzume & Miyoko wake up the earliest usually and while Suzume goes for a morning-jog, Miyoko often begins preparing breakfast. Takayuki comes down to drink tea closely after and lastly Terunori wakes up, when everything is finished usually.
Suzume loves having smoothies for breakfast, especially since she’s already being active early in the morning.
Miyoko, like Ikumi, tends to go the healthy, energizing road for breakfast but she does also prepare buns which everyone loves.
If Miyoko can’t prepare breakfast because she’s out or so, it’s either Terunori’s call or the kids go out themselves to eat out because they got too tired of waiting for their dad to wake up.
The Eizans (EtsuNe Family)
This family struggles to find time to breakfast together and when they do it’s usually on vacation, or on weekends.
Nene is the one who pushes the most for a breakfast together and when she sees the opportunity, she’ll go full out in preparation. And when the family sits together, no one is allowed to even look at his phone and ruin Nene’s precious family-together time.
Normally though, Nene & Masashi individually tend to prepare Miso-Soup or something for themselves, while Etsuya & Shigeo have gained a habit of eating out by getting something from a bakery, sit in some café or Etsuya lets his personal assistant get him (& whenever Shigeo has come to the company with him, him of course as well) something.
Kei alters between either getting something from his mom or Masashi or getting himself something outside as well.
The Saitos (SoMomo Family)
Momo often ends up making breakfast on weekends, although Kiyoko Saito later takes on the task as she’s awake earlier. Anyway this is some very sweet, Instagram-worthy stuff.
Waffles, yogurts with fruits, macarons, croissants, fine jam.....That kind-off stuff. Though Momo never fails to prepare one miso-soup and a bowl of rice, as this is all Somei asks for.
In the week, Somei is the one preparing bentos. His daughter Moe ended up helping him out at a rather young age, as she thought that the bentos could be a lot cuter. Moe ended up developing a passion for bentos through that and on Totsuki she always wakes up early and makes one for her big sister Kiyoko & also Shigeo. Moe’s bentos are legendary.
Whenever Kiyoko is in any-sort off city, she really likes eating breakfast at various cafés. Sometimes she takes Masashi with her.
The Tsukasas (for @blas-i-us *blows kiss*, but yes EiRin Family)
I think I’m gonna make it a running gag that this family rarely eats breakfast at a table, much to Eishi’s frustration. They often end up sitting on the couches in front of the fireplace or the children bring breakfast into their parent’s bed or so. When they do sit at a table, it’s usually outside during warm weather.
They do always eat together though. And they prepare it together as well. The Tsukasa children started to participate at breakfast-preparation. In fact they often end up starting the preparation as they’re awake first.
Lots of cheese, because they live in Switzerland.
Tsubame Tsukasa also tends to collect ingredients from the outside by running out into the morning rays and picking berries, mushrooms etc.

EtsuNe - If he were to make an AU, it’d probably be a Yakuza AU, but instead- Nene is something like in an “arrange marriage” so that the Kinokuni family will be protexted by the Yakuza clan of the Eizan family. Hint: They slowly fall in love with each other, Eizan being the first one falling and he realizes he wants to protect her not for business not that he admits it though.
RenMea - Soulmate AU about getting the marks your partner has. He just finds it really funny to imagine Mea screaming the next morning when she looks at the morning the moment Rentaro gets a tattoo on his face and when she finally meets him, she just screams “WHY?!” because she’s got it on her face now too.
Kaoru X Hanako [KaoKo? Hanaru?] - Detective AU. HE’d love to think that they’re partners in it and Kaoru is the one who’s rather relaxed and Hanako would be the serious one. After solving a couple of crimes together, Kaoru starts to admire her for who she is and Hanako realizes that maybe he’s much more than he’s showing. He’s actually the real mystery. [Hanako belongs to @polar-stars!!]
TeruSae - Mythology AU. He’d love to imagine Masae as a goddess because that’s literally a part of her title, and she falls in love with a human, who later on becomes a hero in the story. But he never knew which god or goddess always dropped him a blessing and they only meet face-to-face later on in the story.
SoRina - Most definitely going to be a royalty au!! I mean to him, Erina is basially a queen and Soma will probably be a dragon who transforms to a human to try and win the heart of Erina so he can capture her. Who knew that it will be the other way around?
IsaMegu - Flowershop AU. He’d like to think that Megumi bought flowers once in Isami’s Flower Shop and he becomes friends with her. After a year, instead of her needing to buy any, flowers are dropped on her front door everyday by a secret admirer. It’s always her favorite flowers. It depends whether she figures it out or not.
TakuIku - Superhero AU! He’d think it’d be really fitting for them. But instead of being a hero and sidekick- they’re both famous heroes who are pretty much in the news everyday. They don’t want to admit they actually got inspired by the other, until one day- they had to work together and realized their feelings for one another.
ShigeChi [ @polar-stars ] - Ballroom AU. They met once during a masquerade, they felt a spark but since everyone is hiding their faces, they don’t know each other’s identity. They meet again, but their first meeting felt the same, but they believe that it can;t be true. As the second time the Masquerade ball happens, they find each other’s masks- they do realize that the spark was actually real.
SoreNa [ @polar-star-dorks ] -He can’t help it!! A prince meeting a baker AU. He’s got people fawning over him, and several candidates to become his wife but the person who steals his heart is a baker who tries her best in making her customers satisfied. A sudden invitation comes from the kingdom for her to come to the next birthday of the prince.
KimiHiro [ @polar-stars ] - Mafia AU! Kimiko being a newcomer and she meets the mafia member who failed a mission and now is considered an outcast inside the mafia family he’s in. They become partners and they show their true potential after they go to their first mission- they make each other’s life better in a good way. Kimiko realizes that she’s got a person to trust, and he realizes that he saved her from his previous title.
HibiTori [ @polar-star-dorks ] - Demon/Angel AU! Hibiki is a kind demon, yet he’s the next candidate to become the next king. Tori is an angel who’s considered someone who’s not entirely “pure” but she’s a candidate to become the replacement of an archangel. They met once when they’re both in human forms, and when they discover what the other is- who knows what will happen? They do see similarities between each other though.
MichiToshi - Mermaid AU! Michiko is someone who lives in the seas and Toshio is someone who discovers new things. He hears someone singing songs and he instantly became enchanted by her voice. However, a storm happens and instead of the ship going down- he spots a mermaid in land and decides to save her. Their meeting caused sudden feelings, and they both don’t know what to do.
KiChi - Vampire AU. Killian is a vampire who’s always been interested in humans but chose to be there only to suck their blood. He only does this to live. He gains an interest with a girl who makes wine and once people try to mess her, he scares them away. She never knew who were protector was but she noticed a bat follows her around. One day, he transforms to his vampire form to save her again.

I see these two as a cute and mostly lighthearted couple, so I pretty much just chose pop songs for them.
I drew the thing I most afraid of......Full bodies *shudders*
Anyways, I need some sort-off full body reference for my the SnKimiko-Cast (my Shokugeki Next Gen). I also decided that I would draw them in their school uniform. So well, here we go with the first batch: The Main Four.
From left to right:
Yukihira Kimiko: Daughter of Soma & Erina Yukihira, Kimiko is Sumiredori Shopping District’s pride and joy. Her family’s diner is the most important place on earth to Kimiko and she has been honing her skills there ever since her parents deemed her old enough. Kimiko is a very down-to-earth persona but one should not underestimate her. She is perfectly aware of what she’s capable of and would not back away from a challenge. She recently made her transfer to Totsuki, albeit a little reluctantly.
Kimiko practices the so-called “Yukihira-style”, which means affordable ingredients and limitless creativity. She always held a particular fascination for French cuisine however which even leads to her joining the French RS on Totsuki.
Hayama Kaori: Daughter of Akira & Hisako Hayama, Kaori is one of Totsuki’s current crown-jewels and the valedictorian of the 115th Generation. Kaori has a very sophisticated and elegant aura to her which many would describe as “noble”, “queen-like” even. She puts a lot of distance between herself and her peers as Kaori deems herself way too busy for social interactions. Kaori is a diligent and hard worker who firmly aims for the first seat in the Elite 10. And she won’t let anyone stand in her way.
Kaori is specialised in medicinal cooking and she is considered a child prodigy in that field. Kaori’s dishes energize greatly and soon enough people began saying that her cooking possessed the power of “giving back youth”, which earned her the title: “Gatekeeper of the Fountain of Eternal Youth”.
Hiroshi Aldini-Tadokoro (usually just called “Tadokoro” by friends): Son of Isami & Megumi Aldini-Tadokoro, Hiroshi is known to be Polar Star’s resident angel. Hiroshi’s soft-spoken, peaceful nature often appears out-of-place in an environment like Totsuki’s and he tends to disappear off people’s radars rather quickly. Those who do actually get to know him will come to realize that Hiroshi is incredibly gentle and kind. He’s very helpful and can read people astonishingly well. You can bet that he’ll comfort and solace anyone who needs it. While his friends have nothing but nice words to say about him, Hiroshi himself doubts himself severely and lacks a lot of confidence.
Hiroshi’s cooking prioritizes the customers front and foremost. Following his mother’s example, Hiroshi creates dish that have a very comforting effect on whoever eats them. He also enjoys fusing Japanese and Italian cuisine.
Mika Aldini: Takumi’s and Ikumi’s only child, and a fiery one at that. Mika grew up in Tuscany and speaks both Italian and Japanese fluently. She’s a very bold individual who loves the thrill for the challenge and therefore embraces Totsuki’s competitive nature. At the same time, her temerarious charisma has certainly made her one of the 115th’s most known and popular members. Something that not many people know however is that Mika is actually a hopeless romantic. She therefore has no interest in any quick flings and rather awaits true love’s kiss so to speak.
Mika is highly-skilled in the usage of meat in her dishes and also cooks majorly Italian.
I’m a lil’ bit bored, watching “Dancing With the Stars” & I really love to picture ships dancing

RyoAli - Viennese Waltz...and maybe even Mambo.
TakuIku - ALL THE DANCES, I headcanon Takumi & Ikumi to be the best dancers of the 91st Gen..They could dance everyone against the wall and no one is going to convince me otherwise...But, I think for their faves to dance would be Salsa & Samba
IsaMegu - I could picture them having fun with Lindy Hop, ngl.

They’re one of the first couples from the 92nd Generation to get married, to the surprise of no one.
They have an outdoor wedding near to a forest. Later, when it got dark, fireflies were dancing through the night. Yuki, the maid of honor, described the whole festive to be “like a fairy wedding”.
The wedding arch was out of wood and a gift from Shun’s uncle, who’s a blacksmith.
Ryoko’s Bouquet consisted mostly of orchids, since those are her favorite flowers.
It wasn't a very big ceremony and they didn’t invite too many people, because they’re like that.

I said it many times already, but I’m always ready to say it again: I do firmly believe Yuki would go for a wide, princess-y wedding gown. The child in her just wants to feel like Cinderella on her day.
Going further with that thought, I can imagine Yuki to like an overall “fairytale-theme” to her wedding as well.
Yuki did most of the planning, with consultation of Ryoko, the maid of honor.
You can bet, Zenji spent more than a week on his vows to make it perfect. And it was a really emotional one indeed, with his writing-talent.
One of the gifts they got are two teddybears in wedding-attire (Yuki’s parents were behind this) and Yuki later on sits them onto the dresser in their bedroom.
TakuIku
So, I googled “Wedding Venues in Florence” and I think a place suitable for them would be the Castello di Vincigliata, a castle located a short distance away from Florence within Tuscany’s stunning landscape. I think the inner romantic that lives in Ikumi would love the dimly-lid place, while Takumi would appreciate the historic look off it.
Isami ends up being Takumi’s best man, while Megumi is Ikumi’s maid of honor. (Funfact but Isami and Megumi are already married at that point)
I like picturing Ikumi with a 20s-styled wedding gown? I think she’d suit it, especially since I picture her with wavy curls in her adulthood.
Needless to say, this couple’s wedding dance is one beautiful sight ofc! No, I won’t shut up about the headcanon that they dance well.
It’s overall an elegant, romantic festive and I like the idea of Takumi, who I can imagine to be pretty romantic in his own right, and his chivalry really encourage Ikumi to truly live out some of her girliest daydreams that day.
IsaMegu
I think these two would have a traditional Japanese ceremony actually. It’s what Megumi pictured all her life, ever since she got interested in the topic of romance through her Shojo mangas. Meanwhile Isami always held a lot of fascination for the home country of his father, so I think he’d approve of this idea.
This one is a small gathering and it’s mostly family that came to visit.
They marry in spring, in Tohoku and they are also one of the frontrunners from the 92nd Gen.
I think, they would have a small party afterwards though and for that one, Megumi would dress up into a simple, short white dress that makes her look like a little angel.
It’s overall a very heartfelt and intimate day for both of them. And Takumi actually cries one time, when he sees his little brother being so happy.
