Some old gift art from 2020!
I was feeling that Gay™ vibe a few days back and figured to quickly clean this sketch from a few months ago and throw on simple colors. My OCs Christine and Lauren! While Christine isn’t Lauren’s main love-interest in their story, I really love their relationship and dynamic...
I was feeling nostalgic today... thus, some Tale Untold sketches. On top, some unrealistic pictures of Lauren and Aldemar’s wedding in which I fail to deliver that Aldemar is like half a meter taller than Lauren... and on the bottom, despite Lauren + Aldemar being a ‘canon’ pair in the story, I can’t help but adore Christine and Lauren’s chemistry and relationship... At least they get each other in the end, sorta.
Work in progress! The pose looks silly bc I’ve set everything else but the main pair itself on invisible layers as to direct my focus on these two completely. I’m already stressing over shading Lauren’s hair and I haven’t even reached that point yet...
Left: 2011, final version, ~18 hours || Right: 2017, color sketch, 1,5 hours
I’m redrawing this piece again! Well, “loosely redrawing” since both the characters and the composition are like.... completely different from their original state lmao ;;;
[Your fingertips feel so cold through this curving glass...]
Aaaaaand done! Took me a good while, too! The third version of the same piece, the first version originating from 2011, second from 2015, and now this in 2017~!
Edit: Fixed something and added two alternate versions~!
Earlier versions below:
Lyrics:
Share a tale with me, Our days that would come, And all that was meant to be, Down the isle you'd walk to meet me. Your snow-white veil was stained in red. I'd give up my love, the first day, the rest of our lives. Now done forever, and ever. Only the lonely keep hanging onto a dream. [Chorus] I'll keep your memories safe with me, We are un-finished symphony. But cruel twist of fate, Our tale was left untold. I made mistakes, one too many. Hand me hope, if you've got any. Burn away the hurt that cost me, Let me be the light, in silence re-unite. Save a smile for me, After all that went wrong, And all that has come to be, Our little piece is all a broken china. So, let the days come, let the days go. Fade away, hide away, Every little lie, every little crime. Every bit a memory, memory suddenly they come to me. [Solo] The song of the sirens still calling. And my eye's are still open wide. If I loose you tonight, tell me, Have I then lost you, forever? Darling, save me a seat from your chamber, Reach your hammer, and forge me a-new. You're my birthing, undone. I'm the crest-fallen one, and I need you. [Chorus] I'll keep your memories safe with me, We are un-finished symphony. But cruel twist of fate, Our tale was left untold. No more mistakes, not a single one. Just one more thing remains to be done. One love had joined together, has now got put a-sunder, For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, In sickness, in health, to love and to cherish, Let God do us apart.
