I love when I find art of a character I don't really care for but the artist drew them so wonderful that I start to care about them and then I have to wonder how that even happened
🌿Finally time to choose the winners for my FTIYS Contest!🌿
I wanna mention first, that hosting contests is one of the most bittersweet things to me. I know in the end, out of a group of artists, I will have to choose one or two winners, even though I love them all.
I know what it feels like to lose contests, it's a terrible, gutting feeling.
I want these artists to know that even though you did not get first or second place, it does NOT mean you or your art is bad, or has no value.
The way I see it, these artists CHOSE to participate in my contest, sitting down and putting hours of effort for a chance to win a prize. Not only that, but they are possibly stepping out of their comfort zone, or trying new things with this contest.
That is so honorable as someone who holds their OCs to their heart. So thank you to all who participate in my contest.

Summer. Which seems endless. And my garden, which is still small. But a decent size. In front of the house. And these friends – cheerful fellows. Dahlias – cheerful fellows. Multicolored flowers. Which continue to delight.
Such a surprisingly rich red color. Such a velvety color. Very beautiful and unusual. I used to associate red with roses among flowers. But these cheerful fellows can surprise with a beautiful, rich red.
The main thing is that the flowers themselves are very large. And generously shaped. The petals are simply enormous. And a beautiful color. They are tall. They grow on a stem. And upright. They don't fall over. They don't bend. Simply perfect plants. And beautiful flowers. They grow well in the garden.
Besides a pleasant red. Such an extremely rich red. Not every flower has such a red in its repertoire. There are many other colors. So these cheerful fellows are extremely diverse in this matter. And they can delight with a variety of colors.
Here is a yellow one. Such a cool yellow. Joyful. Like a smile on the internet. Like the sun in summer. Yellow like a chick, a duckling. Yellow like a sunflower. A very pleasant and warm color. Pleasing to the eye. And gives a lot of positivity. It's a little sun growing in your garden. No less a cool color than red.
This little sun can literally grow. And you can easily plant a lot of them. And they will all grow. These plants grow very well. Quite undemanding. And such a little sun will rise in the garden. It will be a spectacle all summer long! A warming color. Although there is already so much light and warmth in summer.
And here's another white one. White, but not quite. With purple accents. This is another surprise. You can't see all the details right away. It's best to look at it in a photograph. And here are the purple accents. A cool tone. Like stripes. Very beautiful and interesting too. The cheerful guys surprise again. Once again.
Or is it pink, not purple. Well, a dark pink. A very nice color combination. The cheerful children are clearly talented artists. On a white background. A well-chosen background. Such a gallery in the garden. So many flowers and colors. The cheerful children alone have so many with them. They draw in the sun. And they themselves look like suns!
And here's another white one. And again, not quite white. But with light touches of yellow. Like a chick. Small and yellow. Like rays of sunshine. That's how I imagine rays of sunshine. That's exactly what they are. It's like a daisy. Well, just a little.
Large white petals. Snow-white. It's beautiful! And even more beautiful if you paint something there. That's how cheerful children think. And here's a little yellow. Just a little bit. It turned out beautiful. And so sunny. It's always sunny in a summer garden!
What beautiful little yellow rays there. It's so easy to see in the photograph. Such light tones. How sunny. So summery. They're such cheerful little fellows, after all. Kind, sunny friends from your garden. I promised to plant more cheerful little fellows, since they're so cheerful!
To see my sunny friends again, I'll have to plant them again and grow them. And then, in the garden, they'll grow big again. My sunny friends.

My basement office/music space has been trashed all semester. Putting together new bookcases and hanging a few recently acquired pieces of art inspired me to finally get it cleaned up.
