A Tale of Two Mobs||daughtofm
Ah the 20's.
The music, the people, the booze. The money to be made on the black market. Al Capone wasn't the only one making money. He didn't have the only gang that reigned supreme in Chicago. This was shared turf. Rules had to be respected, lines had to be drawn, and alliances had to be made. The vampires were among the oldest of mobs in the city. They had old money, connections that spanned generations. They had the pull to make mobs that had the potential to make a name for themselves very wealthy.
And that's what this meeting was for.
Stefan was in the group of correspondents that would be making an offer to a new mob the vampires had been keeping their eyes on for some time now. An offer that they were hoping they would accept. There would be benefits on both ends of the equation. Stefan had been keeping his eye on a blonde the entire evening. She was a bombshell. A complete knockout. He wondered why such a beauty would be here in the mob's world and not out in the industry.
When she moved he did, the mobsters celebrating the deal that had just been established between the two gangs with cigars and bourbon. She was with the human's gang that was for certain, but now that they were partners, talking to them wasn't against the rules, right?
"It's rude to leave a party once it's just begun, ya know," he teased lightly, entering the hallway she'd escaped to and resting against the wall. "Already bored?"
