Just stumbled upon your blog and just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to put out such beautiful, rich history! Do you have any ancestry from Mesopotamia? I have Lebanese/Syrian blood and I've recently discovered I had Persian ancestry (thus why I'm so interested in this topic) Salam Alaikum :)

I can’t speak for the other admin, but all I can say is that my paternal grandmother’s mother was Sicilian and that Sicily was occupied for nearly 300 years back in the medieval period by an Arab emirate. It is possible that some Arab mixed in then, but I can’t say for certain as I don’t have a lot of records for my paternal grandmother’s mother’s family and I don’t want to pull an Elizabeth Warren. When my father did a DNA test he said he had a small percentage of Middle Eastern DNA but it wasn’t specific to what region.

Heyy Źmija, Have you ever heard/read/seen anything about the 'Tree of Zaqqum' ? I've been seeing it in some of my dreams and it's quite disturbing (a tree that grows from the base of Hell with heads similar to devils as its fruits). Any thoughts about its representation/meaning as I haven't been able to find anything related to it (being seen in a dream). Usually my dreams are a way for me to get answers/messages from my archangels/guides/beings. Thank you in advance. Hope you're well :)

ah, unfortunately, my knowledge of the islamic path is very limited - and a passionate curiosity much more than proper research. this, combined with the fact that I am personally disinterested in any hell-related beliefs (nor do I follow them to any extent) means that I can hardly be of any help here.

however, I am quite curious what you mean by “haven't been able to find anything related to it” - as in, online? seems quite a deep well, if I am being honest. I’d imagine both theological and academic islamic texts would be a good place to start.

and, as always, perhaps my dear followers can be of more use than me.
