Oh, I’m one of these horrible people that sometimes switch languages in the middle of a sentence while talking. Oops? But I’m always pleasantly surprised if you have proper German in an US/UK production.
i don't mind when i'm talking with someone and there's language switching. but when i'm watching something it's harder for me to keep track. idk.

Yeah, although I /do/ need subs for a lot of German shows as well bc my ears like to give up on me sometimes, but. It’s just such a weird feeling??? And it’s not really important to most viewers I guess but it just irritates me a lot.
the worst is when it's mixed like one sentence german and then english again. my brain is not fast enough to decypher broken german and jump back to english immediately. :D
but the other day i watched 'scandal in bohemia' with Jeremy Brett as Holmes and the german guy said something in german in between. i think he was a german actor or at least he knew the language bc it was perfect.

it's just... i know that i should be able to understand what they say bc it's my native language but i don't? that confuses me a bit and makes me question my language skills tbh.
and if i ever made a tv show i would want to have those things perfect. but i guess it's really not that important when the target audience speaks english.

those german tourists in Sherlock always crack me up. also when Anderson says 'Rache' and it sounds like he's trying to throw up.
and on Doctor Who that part in germany with the Osterhagen key and the daleks go 'ExTERminieren!'.

Haha! That sounds good actually, I find baking quite a good distraction. I'm not a very good cook, but sometimes my desire to eat cake is strong enough to make me.
