Phantom of the Hexcore
Dying wasn't what Sky expected. Yes, it was extremely painful but after that it was strangely peaceful. For a time she floated through a sea of stars, her thoughts coming slow until a brighter star caught her attention. She turned her gaze to it and it seemed to grow closer, brighter. So bright that it consumed her vision.
When she could see again she was in a bedroom. Looking around she took in the decor before focusing on the figure in the bed. Jayce. He seemed to be sleeping peacefully. She reached for him only to notice that her had was barely there are all, just a suggestion of shape and color. Still she wanted to try to connect with Jayce, to see if he could feel or perhaps hear her.
"Jayce... Jayce... Can you hear me?" She called while resting her hand on and partially through his shoulder. She leaned down to be closer to his ear, feeling like she was being pulled away from him again. "Jayce. Come to the lab Jayce. Check on the Hexcore, Jayce. Hurry!"
After speaking the last word she gave into the pull and felt herself tumbling through that same sea of stars. Eventually she returned to the physical world again, this time in the lab. She looked down and saw she was much more solid now but still rather ghostly as she stood before the table that held the Hexcore. She turned to look at the door, hoping that Jayce had heard her.
