kind of a weird question but since your like.. over 100 years old or something, did navigating things become much easier in your life since your blind and all.

another question, do you use a blind cane/stick?

“It ain't a weird question. A pretty smart one actually. Alot ‘o kids nowadays take the small things for granted. Easy to forget ‘yer roots. Easy to forget that fer most of humanity, $#!& sucked. Everyone was fightin’ to survive, one way or another. Only thing that kept people goin’ was the promise ‘o maybe pullin yerself up by your britches enough to make a name for yourself. New technology gave people hope. I’d be lyin’ if I said I was any different.

I was born with cataracts.’ A lot of people ask me if I mourn my sight, but ya can’t really mourn somethin’ ya never knew now can you? My mother thought it was a blessing, some sorta.. odd mercy that I'd never see what type of monster I was born as. I personally believe God had to nerf me so that I wouldn' t jus fly out the womb killin’ folk. When I was real young, I wasn’t ‘loud to play with my other siblings. Guess that's why it took me so long to take one ‘o them out, heh. I was usually stuck doing housework with my mom. I navigated with sound, and later as my mutation increased, smell. Most of the resources for ‘visual impairment’ cost money we didn't have, so I was usually given recycled animal bones as a ‘cane’ to get ‘round. Bone don’t scratch up the wood floors or splinter on hands like other materials would, and we’d get ‘em for free while hunting. The biggest change? Definitely general access to disability aids. Braille wasn’t widely known or accessible ‘til I was far until my adulthood. I had heard of it in my teens, but didn’t come ‘cross it till I was like 30. I had to be taught how to read by a kid! I bet I can find a photo from the program.

Still pretty bad at readin’ braile. Call me an old dog. I don’t learn new tricks. Nonetheless, technology is great. I love text to speech. I don’t have to think as hard to enjoy things, and Gwennie showed me how to make it sound like a pretty lady, which is a win in my book. There's always new useful  $#!& I never could’ve dreamed of popping up. O’ course I still use bone canes for convenience, usually elk bones. I live up north so they’re in abundance, which is useful considerin’ people keep braking my $#!& mid fight!"

Why are you hanging with Gwenpool of all people?

“Why do I hang out with anyone? Boredom, forced proximity, the usual. Got assigned on the same mission ‘cause apparently ‘er face is too scary for the other pansies on my team. When she realized I wasn’t scared ‘o her she just kept  clinging to me, popping up at my hideouts n shit. Don’t care enough to get rid ‘o her so I guess I'm stuck with her.

Truthfully, she’s.. Convenient. Got a lot of information on a lot of important people, and never says how she gets it. Takes all the dull $#!% outta mercenary work, yeah? ‘N she dont got a problem with the way I do things, which helps.  She can be a bit much, but as long as she keeps makin’ ‘erself useful she stays out the way of my claws.”
