Years ago we went out to lunch with Brad and George Takei. George was fascinated by Caroline drawing on my IPad. He asked Caroline to borrow the pad and he did a beautiful drawing of Caroline and wrote her name in Kanji. Caroline was about five at the time and that is where she learned men and women could marry men and women She took the information and it became what is normal in her world.

This past Sunday we went to the Japanese society to a talk with George about his new book “It rhymes with Takei” . Caroline drew George during the latter half of the talk.

Afterwards we had a short time to talk to Brad and George. We talked about Peter mostly. Caroline and George talked about her college career and that she applied for an internship in Japan.

We went to see my friends at a gathering we call the Arts Bunch afterwards. It was so nice to see everyone.

Can I be selfish for a second?

All I want is to see artists feeling happy about their art, enjoying their time working on an art piece, sharing experiences with each others, feeling proud of their art, not caring what others artists do or how good others are.

Talent is bullshit to me, it's not a gift, it's hardwork, it's time, it's passion, it's love.

And all I want to see and feel is that.

That's why I want yall to know that I'm always open to talk about art, I'd love to see ya coming to my DMs and ask things! I love talking about what I'm passion about and if I can share a glimpse of what makes me happy, please come to me.

I'm not an expert, I don't know how I do the things that I do (like, really, I feel it's just impulse) but the same way you can come to me for help, you're helping me to express it too.

Let's help each others love what we do.

something i love about people commenting on my art (ESPECIALLY when its ranmaru art) is when they say something along the lines of "omg the character looks so good in your style" like someone literally said "ranmaru looks like he was MADE for your art style" to me and i burst into tears i was so happy <333

also some people say how they love how i refer to ranmaru with they/she/he pronouns and honestly :( moar hearts to u guys because im so glad u guys support the girlboything ranmaru agenda..... same with people who are happy when i share my enby lesbian ranmaru thoughts because im like. ur so happy,,, and that makes me happy,,,, lets be joyful 2gether,,,

talking of academia aesthetics.... our module coordinator came in again today, in her short, side-parted hair, large glasses, and black turtleneck, while my friend and i were sat there, two rows back, both with the exact same haircut, turtlenecks, gold necklaces,

like, the art student/lecturer aesthetic is getting too much
