The idea is that she wanted to give her Simon a child (my version is a child based upon a wish to “keep Simon safe.”)

But because Betty became a chaos god, intentions don't translate well.

The idea of the conception involves a high blast of cosmic radiation.

But with the multiverse being the multiverse, if one Simon is affected in his timeline by a big event, many Simons would of been affected too.

Creating many... many more outcomes on what could happen to the old man.

For the Nice King Au. Where Simon seems to control the crown. I have several questions, like at what point he gained control of the crown. For example, did he never have the insane effect, but did he have the aging appearance until a certain point? I'd also like to know if he managed to stay with Marceline forever and didn't have to abandon her because of the crown.

Ah, good question.

He never really mastered the crown or able to control the madness of it. This occurred a while after Marceline got really sick.

Simon would continue to hide Marceline in cars or safe spots around the cities while he set off scavenging for rations and medical supplies nearby. He’d return one time to notice the strap for the crown broke off a while ago and the crown was nowhere to be seen. Simon being paranoid about straying too far from the crown was preparing to leave again when Marcy grabs his hand and plead with him to not go looking for the crown. He had broken many promises to not wear the crown, so why keep it in one’s possessions if it brought him anguish.

To be without the crown would be a dream for Simon, but not in an environment like this. He felt the crown was his only ace in his weaponry to get out of really dangerous situations, but understand Marcy’s distress when seeing her guardian losing his bananas to the crown’s temptations. He was able to calm her down, albeit with promises of making something delicious to reassure little Marceline of his return.

Eventually he’d find his crown behind a run down auto repair shop, it was being gnawed at by a strange deer until Simon shoo’d it off. Assessing the damage, nothing about it was physically altered and yet somehow, Simon felt a change in it…
