Movie-a-Day #152: Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping (2016)
Patton’s recent stand-up special, coming off of watching his 1997 Comedy Central hour this felt like a step backwards. A more subdued delivery and a milder set, I suppose it is the fate of the aging comic. It took Carlin like 100 damn years to get there but Patton seems to be edging there a lot sooner than expected. Great material, regardless.

If you get hung up on words, then you're gonna let a lot of evil motherfuckers slip through. Because evil people learn the correct terms very quickly.

Cringing through Patton Oswalt’s Talking for Clapping
This comedian used to be so, for lack of a better word, edgy. He didn’t give a shit what anyone thought or what was politically correct or ANYTHING
Now? A bunch of SJW shit... a bunch of feminist shit... a bunch of glorifying women, saying men don’t do shit, saying all those who don’t bow down to what these people want are just dumb and.... ugh....
I’m waiting for Titus’ next special... I need a Titus again... and I swear if he’s fallen down this hole... at least I still have Cummins.
If you’re into stand-up comedy and you got Netflix, I strongly recommend watching Patton Oswalt’s “Talking for Clapping”.
The preview promised me MLP bit, and that was enough to hook me :v but in the end I got much more. Beside his (great) personal stories, he talks about modern society changes. American presidency, LGBT rights and oppression, even “boy & girl differences”. It’s not that long, and he may not be entirely unbiased, but he has great points, and reasonable point of view.
I wholeheartedly advise watching it.
