That's what Bada had been feeling ever since she got that message. There were no tears or screams, just silent suffering. Her eyes were dry and she felt hollow inside. She was staring at her blue notebook she got with a pen in her hands
'Whatever you think, sorry but I don't give a fucking shit'
But mostly, she was mad.
She felt a burning anger within her. She was mad at the people who didn't believe her and continued to throw so many words at her without hearing her first
'Sorry, I don't give a fuck that your life is medicore'
She was angry at the company she basically brought back from failure.
'That you screwed up and are unable to leave the shithole'
She was mad at that girl who, for no reason, decided to destroy everything she has worked for. Playing the victim while Bada is the actual victim
'For you to think that my success is related to your failure"
Bada felt a growing sense of dread and anxiety. She had a feeling that this story would end badly for her, and she didn't like where it was headed.
Trapped in a nightmare with no way out
"Your delusion is top-notch fuck it"
Her eyes remained glued to paper that was filled with lyrics. Her attention was focused on the song she was working on, not even glancing at the girl who just entered the studio. She sighed and scribbled the mistake she had accidentally made, for what seemed like the hundredth time.
Bada heard the chair next to her being pulled out, but she didn't look her way. Lei remained silent as well, not making a sound.
Lei stared at her, Bada's hood was up, hiding her face perfectly. She moved her eyes to read what she was writing. She cracked a smile, happy to see Bada get her motive back.
She wanted to say something, but everything that was on her mind felt embarrassing. Lei wasn't used to having this problem with anyone else. In fact, she was always the one striking up a conversation, you can never keep her mouth shut. But ever since she spent all those nights thinking about the butterflies she gets everytime she hangs out with Bada, something changed
Oh she's so fucked
"What's worse?" Bada spoke up, and Lei's eyes immediately darted towards her
"Being wanted but not loved, or loved but not wanted?"
"Uhm depends in what situation you put it" the shorter girl answered "But for me, I prefer a situation where both love and want are mutual"
Bada only nodded, satisfied with her answer. "Same" she muttered and closed the notebook. She then pulled her hood down, and tried to fix her messy hair
Lei felt sorry for the girl. Her eyes felt dead, and her eyebags were only getting worse day by day. Compared to when she first came and now, she lost so much weight too
"Let's celebrate" Bada bent down down and took out a small convenience store white cake from from the mini fridge.
Lei eyed her suspiciously taking a sip of water "What is this for?"
"For me getting kicked out of my group"
The chinese girl almost choked on her water "what- you got kicked?" she asked in disbelief, she didn't think it would come at this point
Bada's head whipped around in the blink of an eye "N- no oh my god, I said it wrong. Maybe I'll get kicked, I don't know they're thinking about it. If they can't win against the girl then yes"
"Well fuck your CEO and manager" Lei muttered, throwing her bottle on the floor in a fit of rage. "This whole situation should've ended months ago. That company is so greedy and corrupt, just hungry for more attention and money"
Bada couldn't help but grin as Lei continued to angrily ramble and curse everyone. It was oddly adorable how she would grab the hem of her shirt every time she was mad and play with it. Bada also noticed the way her heart began beating abnormally, and she couldn't help but feel a tug of affection for this girl. She'll ignore it for now
It will go away
"It's okay. We'll see how it goes" Bada replied "We'll see what happens" She passed a fork to Lei, and they began eating small bites of cake without even bothering to cut it.
"You didn't tell me you were a YG trainee."
Lei shivered at the mention of YG, her mind going back to those haunting memories of her time as a trainee. The voices of the other girls and stagf constantly putting her down, the pressure of being perfect, the abuse and neglect, most importantly him
"Yeah" Lei's mouth suddenly went dry at the thought. " How do you know?"
"I saw your 'YG songs' file" Bada said
"Oh, should've changed the name" she uttered "I was for five years then I left"
"I don't blame you" Bada sympathized. "It's a good thing that you left. They're known for keeping trainees forever without ever making their debut."
"It's not because of that" Lei sighed, avoiding eye contact and looking towards the computer. "I was forced to leave. They forced me to go, and there wasn't much I could do about it. It's a long story"
Lei's cheeks reddened when she felt Bada's hand grab hers.
"We have time" Bada said, reassuring her.
2016
Lei's whole body was shaking, and tears would run down her cheeks. She was trying to hard dance perfectly, but she simply couldn't anymore. The pressure was taking a toll on her, and she couldn't keep up no matter how hard she tried.
"Hey are you alright?" a voice said behind her. She wiped the tears from her face quickly, her eyes still red
She turned around to face the person, and her eyes widened as she saw who it was. It only took a split second for her to recognize him as her senior, she was too embarrassed to look him in the eye. Instead, she bowed and kept her head dangling low "Y-yes Im fine thank you"
He smiled softly at her and laughed. "It's obvious you're not, here take my water bottle."
"It's unnecessary really," she was about to deny his offer, but his playful glare won her over. "Thank you."
"If anyone's giving you a hard time, just tell me. I'll have a talk with them," he said with a lighthearted tone. He winked at her, and Lei blushed hard "How old are you anyway?"
Lei cleared her throat and replied "15"
He smiled at her amused "Really?" He eyed her up and down smirking "You look much older"
If only she knew..
~
"I was 15, and he was 26" Lei muttered, their chairs now touching. Lei rested her head on Bada's shoulder and closed her eyes, Bada caressing her hand
"I was young and dumb" she continued "and he was older and manipulative. He took advantage of my age and innocence to mold me into what he wanted me to be."
Bada's nails dug into the chair, and her grip tightened. She clenched her jaw so harshly that she could feel the tension in her jaw muscles "Who's that man"
Lei sighed "The famous Kim Jihoon, Korea's pride, funny title if they only knew"
This hit Bada like a brick. Suddenly, all the rumors she had heard among some trainees made more sense. Bada had met him many times, and he had always been nice, but there was always this weird feeling about him. It was like something was off and not quite right.
"At first, he started buying me drinks and snacks during practice. Then it turned more serious he began gifting me jewelry. Months went by and we started dating. I was on cloud 9 from happiness, everything felt perfect. I thought I was going to debut, and I was dating every girl's dream boy."
Bada bit her lip at Lei's confession, feeling a mixture of anger and sadness.
2017
Jihoon sat next her, smiling as he looked at her. "You look so cute like this. You should make your hair into little buns more often" he ran his thumb over her cheek gently, making her smile.
"It makes me look so childish though" Lei replied, feeling embarrassed.
"Nah, you look pretty, you're a big girl" he said, leaning in close and brushing her cheek with his lips. Jihoon pressed his body close to hers, but he immediately backed away when some of the other girls entered the hallway. They instantly began to giggle and greet him with playful flirtatious smiles, and he smiled back.
Lei felt a pang of jealousy and envy as she witnessed this, feeling completely insecure compared to these pretty girls. They were older than her, way prettier and about to debut soon. Everything Jihoon was looking in a girl
"Can't let them see us, right?" Jihoon laughed teasing her, and Lei's smile fell
She was his, but he was never hers
~
"We had been dating for a year, and I often felt uncomfortable with some things he wanted me to do. I just felt so confused because he was older and wiser, and he was an idol. He always used that as his excuse whenever I questioned him." Lei's hands began to shake as she tried to explain the emotions and situation she had been in.
Bada closed her eyes, trying to hold back her tears. She placed an arm around Lei's shoulder and reassured her "It's not your fault-"
"It is, it was always my fault"
2017
Jihoon slammed the practice door and shouted, "What the fuck Lei?"
Lei took a step back, her hands shaking behind her back, feeling nervous and scared. She tried to get her words out but her mouth was dry and she felt too overwhelmed to respond.
Jihoon cursed again and began to brush his hair with his hands. "I told you not to talk to me in front of the others. God you're so stupid and immature"
Lei said quietly and sniffled "Im sorry, please don't leave me"
Jihoon frowned and sighed, pulling her closer to him and wiping away her tears. "Im sorry for yelling but it was your fault baby, you made me really mad" he continued "But I'll forgive you"
Lei whispered "Why do you never talk to me when we're around other people?"
He placed his hand under her chin, gently lifting her face towards him. "They can't know about us because then they'll say that you debuted because of me"
Jihoon placed a sweet kiss to her forehead, and he looked at her with a playful grin. "We don't want that to happen, right? So let's keep it a secret."
'He's older Lei, he knows what he's doing'
He moved to kiss her lips, but she quickly turned her head away. She didn't know why she felt so uncomfortable with making out with him, but she has to, other girls would let him do things like this "I'm sorry Jihoon I don't really want to-"
He looked at her with a smirk "Shh it's okay don't worry. I know you're inexperienced, but it's okay. We'll take things slowly and learn together."
~
"He used me in so many ways, and I just let him. Chenle was so against our relationship, and I told him I broke up with him just to get him off my back." Lei explained, feeling a mix of guilt and shame
Bada's mind was flooded with so many emotions. She wanted to hug Lei, kill that motherfucker and burn down YG Entertainment.
"I noticed that he would always ask for my lyrics journal and I gave it to him since I thought it wasn't a big deal. But he never gave it back to me. One day I was at the cafe when I heard his newest song playing. I recognized it instantly because it was my song that I've written."
Lei paused and took a deep breath, Bada squeezed her hand in comfort. "His whole album was filled with songs I wrote, he changed nothing. I was so angry that I texted him saying that I'll tell Yang HyunSuk about what he did."
"Three hours later, I got called to his office, where Jihoon was also present. Jihoon started accusing me of selling his songs and leaking information, and even stalking him. Everything he said to Yang HyunSuk, he believed it without a doubt. Yang HyunSuk offered me two options: they can sue for stalking and selling their songs, or I can leave the entertainment and the country for at least five years and the police won't get involved"
Bada sighed sadly and rubbed her face, feeling awful for the girl "So you chose to leave"
Bada felt sick, her girlhood, her dream everything was taken away from her. Lei didn't deserve what she went through, at such a young age
"I had no choice but to leave," Lei replied softly, smiling faintly at Bada "We weren't financially stable, and in this society, who do you think they would believe?"
She shook her head sadly. "A man who's admired by everyone or a young girl who no one knows? They would never choose the girl."
"I went back to my parents after everything and worked for a year before coming here to live alone. It wasn't easy, but I made it work because I had to. I wanted to continue pursuing my dream but I couldn't. I just had to move on and let it go"
She was so used to this pain that it became normal to her. But damn did she feel sorry for herself
She was young
Bada quickly wiped away the tear rolling down her cheek before Lei could see it. She then took her hand and gently held Lei’s face, making her look at her directly.
"You were just a kid, and you didn't deserve that. He was 26. And I don't want you to blame yourself, it was never your fault."
Lei gave a quick nod of her head, trying to fight back her tears.
Bada pulled her closer and hugged her tightly. She whispered in her ear "I'm so sorry you went through this alone. But you did it in the end, and I'm super proud of you."
Lei held her firmly as well, hugging her as close as their chairs would allow them to. Neither of them minded the uncomfortable seating position and just wanted to stay like that
"And when my hiatus is over, If you want, we can go together in Korea. I'll be by your side so you can finally speak up and tell your story. Everyone deserves to hear it from the heart."
Bada whispers this in Lei’s ear with a gentle voice "And you can't hide your talent" Bada said as she pulled away from the hug and logged in on the computer. "Why stop your dream for a fucked up man, his life is going to get destroyed either way? You can get your songs back and sing them like they're supposed to, and we'll make sure everyone knows the truth and knows that you deserve better."
Lei nodded softly and let out a small, broken chuckle. "I'm sorry this turned depressing so quickly"
Lei clicked on her YG files and pointed to one of the songs "I wrote this after I realized everything he did to me"
"Can I hear it?" Bada asked
Lei didn't reply, she just played the song, Bada listened carefully from the start to the end. Each word was like a knife in her gut
Lei slid her phone into her bag and watched from afar as Bada sat on a nearby bench. Her face was hidden behind her signature bucket hat, the brim casting a shadow over her features.
The chinese girl let out a sigh as she thought how late it is for Bada to be outside, especially in a place she doesn't know. It had been several days since she had last seen the older girl, and she was beginning to worry.
She knew that Bada was going through a tough time, but she was trying her best to be understanding and supportive. She can't do much when Bada had been pushing her away, making it difficult for Lei to help her.
She pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling overwhelmed. She never asked to be a babysitter, but she had somehow ended up as one.
"I don't know how much longer I can do this" she sighed. "God, give me a sign, should I keep this up?"
"Is she crazy?"
"I think so"
Lei lowered her head, meeting the gazes of two kids. They were probably no more than 14 years old, and yet they stared at her with a mixture of confusion
"What are you staring at?" she yelled "Don't you have better things to do?"
"Don't you have better things to do than talk to no one?" the young girl mocked.
"Babe, stop it before she cries." the boy next to her said, giggling. Lei watched him closely, he seemed familiar
"Aren't you two supposed to be sleeping right now? It's past your bedtime," Lei said with a mischievous grin.
"Alright, stop grandma-" one of the kids shot back, rolling their eyes.
Lei smiled as she recognized the boy. "Aren't you Felix's cousin?"
She glanced over at the boy, now smirking when she recognized him, but her smirk deepened when she saw his smile disappear "Aren't you Felix's cousin?"
He grabbed his girlfriend's hand and pulled her away, a mixture of embarrassment and haste in his face
Lei laughed, amused by the couple's reaction "I'll be having a word with him" she said, watching the couple disappear into the distance.
Sighing, she looked at the park. Bada was still there, alone. She didn't want to go up to her, but she knew she had to. This was it, she thought to herself. It was going to be now or never.
As she took those first few steps towards Bada, she already felt her mind spinning with the possibilities.
Her heart pounded in her ears, each thudding beat like a hammer against her chest. Her hands trembled slightly, as if they might fail her at any moment.
It's not that deep...
She drew closer, still unable to see Bada's face. The older girl had hidden her face with her hands.
Bada wasn't okay.
Even an outsider could see it. Her days felt like a prison, with no escape in sight. The scandal, the comments, the constant hate. It was getting to her. The pressure was building and building, and Bada felt like she was suffocating.
This whole thing was funny, really. Why were her fans so quick to turn against her? Without a shred of proof, they were willing to throw her under the bus and bury her, just because a random girl she didn't know said so.
Just one sentence. One. And it destroyed everything.
This was her dream, and now it was being stolen away. She had made it this far, and the dream was within her grasp. But it was out of her reach now, stolen away by an allegation that could not be proven.
She could feel the sleeves of her hoodie being soaked by the tears that flowed down her cheeks. She didn't care. She needed to let it all out, and if a few tears ruined her hoodie in the process, so be it. Another cry rose up from her, all of her emotions bottled up and finally being released. It was too much, but it felt like such a relief at the same time.
It was scary because the thought of ending it all wasn't leaving her mind and it was sounding good. Everyone would be happy and relieved, even she would be in peave
She wouldn't be anyones bother, many people would be happy. After all she's doing them a favor and listening to them
She knew her members were right, she wasn't the Bada she used to be. The old her wasn't rude to strangers, didn't snap at everyone around her. Heck, she would never tell a gorgeous girl to leave her alone.
Not the time Bada…...
She took a deep breath and rubbed her hands across her face. She wiped away her tears, but her eyes remained swollen and red. Suddenly, she heard the snap of a twig behind her. She froze
What if it's dispatch…?
So many things were running through her mind, all at once. And for the first time, Bada felt a sense of relief as she heard her voice.
"Bada, are you okay?"
"Im fine" Her mind was a mess, and she was far from okay.
She didn't need to look up to know where she was. The warmth next to her told her all she needed to know.
"From afar away, you looked like a dealer " she chuckled, leaning back as her eyes rested on Bada's figure. "-or like you're having a mental breakdown. So... I'm going with the latter. Are you okay, Bada?"
"Do I look okay, Zhong?"
Bada finally turned to face Lei, and there was a slight hint of annoyance on her face. She wasn't too fond of the girl, that much was obvious. She also hated how kind and comforting she was, despite their rocky start.
Bada loathed how her voice sent shivers down her spine at every word and how she looked so effortlessly beautiful without even trying.
Lei bit her lip as if deep in thought, her eyes never leaving Bada's. The cold wind blew through Bada's hair, making it blow in unexpected directions. She was unable to look away. She studied the girl next to her, she knew she was crying. It doesn't take a genius to get that
But fuck did she look beautiful

"Hmm." Lei looked lower, taking in Bada's hidden face under her hat. "Red eyes, that means the dealer part is true."
Bada scoffed and turned her head away from Lei, trying to hide her small smile.
"I needed fresh air"
"Right, you needed fresh air" Lei nodded. "I understand, I'd feel the same if I was locked up ignoring everyone."
Bada shook her head, as if amused by her own actions. "Sorry about that."
"I know it's hard to live with a stranger, especially in this situation, I'm not saying we have to be best friends, but I meant it when I said earlier that you can always come to me for anything."
Bada stayed silent, not responding to her, so Lei continued "You don't need to keep everything inside you I know what it feels like for everyone to suddenly hate you, and to feel like no one understands you-"
"You don't understand." Bada cut her off harshly
Lei sighed, a hint of annoyance filling her voice. "Believe me, I do. I was also a trainee once, and I have an idol brother. I know everything."
"I'm fine really" Bada lied "Sometimes it gets too much that's all"
Lei nodded, she wasn't being entirely honest but it's a start "That's understandable"
A silence fell between them, and both girls just stared at the swings in front of them. They didn't speak, just listened to the sounds of the wind blowing through the park. It wasn't an awkward silence, but Bada still couldn't stand it. She couldn't stand being alone with her thoughts, so she decided to speak up again.
"What's up with you hating Hann?" Bada taunted with a smirk on her lips
Lei's face was caught off guard by the sudden question. How did she know that "W-what?"
"You said it's not that good" Bada repeated. "Now I know not everyone has good taste, but I'm curious. What did you mean by that?"
Lei rolled her eyes again, her tone turning haughty. "Really, Bada? Implying that I don't have good taste?"
"Hey just saying"
"Wait, how do you know about that?" Lei's face twisted into a smirk as she flicked Baka's hat. Bada scowled pushing her hand away
"Are you stalking me on twitter?"
Bada shook her head, too quickly for her liking "No I wasn't stalking you. Soojin just sent me your twitter account when she told me I was gonna live with you so I saw that tweet on accident."
"Sure," Lei replied in a teasing tone, a small smile now lighting up her face. "Follow me next time, no need to stalk me in secret."
"Don't change the topic" Bada chided her, now turning fully towards Lei.
"I was joking when I said Hann isn't good. It's actually one of my favorite songs" Lei said as she gathered her knees and put her chin on her knees.
"It was just to piss off my best friend" she added with a grin
"Hanni right? The one with Yeeun's left toe username" fuck Bada for giving herself this easy, now she really sounds like a stalker "Yeeun loved her by the way"
"If I tell Hanni about this, she'll pass out." Lei laughed softly before adding "She's a huge fan of your group."
Bada smiled, the first genuine one that Lei has ever seen. "Well, I'll make sure she gets a signed album from all of us." Bada's smile quickly disappeared "If I ever go back" her tone suddenly growing cold like a winter storm.
"You produce almost all of your group's songs right?" Lei leaned closer, their shoulders now almost touching.
Bada stared at her for a moment, confused she nodded. Lei smiled, reaching out her hand.
"Come on, let's go somewhere." She continued, shaking the plastic burger king bag in front of Bada.
"I know a place you'll like. Plus we can share this burger" she said with a wink.
"I'm not sure-" Bada started, her tone unsure as she stared at Lei's hand.
Lei sighed in exasperation. "Come on, I'm not asking you anymore."
Bada yelped as she was quickly dragged away, her hands numb in the bitter cold. Lea's hands were soft and warm, the contrast almost too much to handle.
Nonetheless she followed the shorter girl
Bada was surprised when Lei took her to a studio, a home recording studio to be more precise.
She was left speechless at how big and well-equipped it was. She knew that Lei loved to sing, but she didn't know that she was this serious about it.
She touched the buttons of the monitor in awe, her awe quickly turning to excitement. "This is amazing, you make songs?"
"Yes" Lei nodded, motioning for Bada to sit. "And sometimes I sell them depends if I like the artist"
She just hoped that Bada would not notice the fake smile on her face. After all, what happened during her training days left her with so much trauma, but the love for music was something she could never lose.
Yes, she was scared to perform in front of other people, and for other reasons, which was why she initially began selling her songs. But she still wanted her songs to be heard, not by her though.
"You sell your songs?" Bada's eyes widened as she sat down next to Lei. She was filled with curiosity now. "What songs have you made? And who did you sell them to?"
"No" Lei replied, her tone turning playful
"Come on" Bada nudged her, pointing at the computer in front of them. "Show me" she repeated.
Lei laughed and gave in, turning towards her console to open up the files in front of them. Bada saw another folder with the name 'Lei's private songs' but didn't mention it
With one click a folder full with songs opened. Bada leaned in licking her lips as she stared at the screen. She knew most of these songs, but what surprised her they were all western artists songs, but one song caught her off guard
Bada turned to Lei quickly, her face filled with surprise. "Wait dude, you wrote 'Never Felt So Alone'?"
Lei turned towards her, looking at Bada's face before replying, her voice filled with a hint of nervousness.
"Yes" she said. "Did you like it"
"You listened to it?" Bai asked. Her voice sounded hopeful, as if waiting for a good response.
"Did you like it?"
"I had it on repeat when it came out," Bada admitted, making Lei smile.
"So you're the famous unknown girl who sings with him?" Bada wondered. "Why didn't Labyrinth give you credits?"
"I didn't want to" Lei replied. "I want to stay anonymous."
"Are you crazy?" Bada asked, she looked at Lei as if she grew two heads "Do you know how much people wanna know the girl who sings in that song?"
"I know but I don't care," Lei replied. "I like it like this."
Bada was quiet, and her gaze returned to the computer.
"I noticed you only wrote songs for Western artists" Bada said, as her eyes followed the words on the screen.
"You never wrote kpop songs before?"
"No" She said grabbing the burger she got along with the knife she took before coming upstairs "I only helped Chenle with a few songs but other than that nothing"
She cut the burger in half slowly and Bada only watched her. Something was weird but Bada didn't want to push it, in the end it's not her place
"But I like it like this" Lei said through her teeth. "I give it to them willingly."
"They give me money" she added with a shrug. "We both get something out of it."
Lei held out the half-burger, and Bada accepted. Her eyes remained fixed on the younger girl, as she took a bite from the burger.
"I'm sharing my burger with you – be grateful," Lei said with a smirk, pointing at her
Bada rolled her eyes, her expression turning playful as she let out a small thank you. She looked around the studio, the cozy environment and the familiar layout calming her somewhat.
The walls of the studio were covered in white paint, though the pink LED lights created a vibrant atmosphere that brought the room together. Some old vinyl records and colorful band posters hung on the walls, adding a hint of personality to the space.
In one corner, a cute black leather two-seater sofa sat beneath a small round armchair. Near the sofa there was a whiteboard hung on the wall. It had some polaroids of Lei and her friends taped to and a few written notes that Bada assumed were from her friends
The recording booth was an added bonus that made the studio even better. Although she didn't mind working in studios without a booth, it definitely improved the songs in the long run.
In another corner, there was a keyboard piano and two guitars on display.
"When Chenle debuted and got his first wage, he bought me that brown guitar" Lei said, catching Bada's fully attention
"I remember telling him to spend his money on things he needed, but he was so stubborn, he still is" Lei continued, both of them laughing.
She sighed at the memory of young Chenle giving her the guitar, a conflicting mix of happiness and sadness flowing through her.
It was a happy yet sad memory for her. He was so happy that day she vividly remembered him saying 'I made it because of you'
She never told anyone she cried a week because of that
"He's a really nice man" Bada said softly, tossing the wrapper in the trash.
"When Soojin first introduced him to us" she went on "I expected him to be awkward and nervous."
"But man was he hyped" she added with a grin.
Lei laughed in response, that sounds like her brother.
"Honestly, I don't know what goes through his mind." Lei grabbed a notebook and pen, opening the first pages to check if she wrote something on it.
Finding nothing, she turned towards the idol and handed it to her
"What's this?" Bada asked, raising an eyebrow and looking at the blue notebook. "You want an autograph"
Lei scoffed at the idea, shaking her head. "You wish."
Bada smirked back, turning towards the notebook. "Oh no need to deny it." She began writing something, then signing it. She tore the page and gave it to Lei.
"Yah, to my number one fan?" Lei exclaimed hitting her shoulder lightly "Im not your fan"
Bada's smirk never left her face, she was enjoying this "You act like one"
"I gave you this to write songs," Lei huffed, a tone of annoyance in her voice. "Can't even be nice these days."
"Wait." Bada dragged on her words slightly, before repeating what Lei had said in a tone of surprise.
"You gave me this to write songs?" she asked.
A look of confusion filled her face, and she slowly turned towards Lei. "Why?"
"I don't know, you can get inspired and write something," Lei said with a smirk, "you can always use my studio too, I don't mind."
Bada's face lit up with excitement. "Really?" she asked eagerly, her expression turning into a bright smile when the other gitl said yes. "Thank you"
She opened the notebook again and wrote down 'Bada's Lyrics Diary (Australia Version)' in big, bold letters. She began drawing some cute doodles to go along with the title, smiling to herself as the memories came flooding back.
Lei's jaw dropped as she saw that the oreo haired girl started writing already. "You're already writing this fast?" She asked in amazement.
"After all the shit that happened, I definitely had some inspiration" she said with a smile, not looking up
Lei chuckled, coming close to the older girl to see what she was writing. And for the first time in so long, Bada was happy and she had fun. She was quick to judge Lei, cut her some slack, everyone has bad first impressions of someone
Bada was grateful, truly. After two weeks of not being home, of being in a messy state, this would definitely help her feel better. She needed to get back into herself, and making music was definitely the tool to do that.
"Nari" Yunjin began to stand up but the older girl immediately shut her up
"How could you do this to me" Nari yelled her whole body shaking. She still couldn't believe her best friend, the person she considered a sister would do this to her
Aeri and Yeonjun looked at them shocked not knowing what's happening "Nari.. Yunjin what is going on"
Yunjin began to cry. "I'm so sorry, Nari," she said through her tears. "I... I didn't mean to."
Nari couldn't believe what she was hearing. After everything that had happened, after all the pain and suffering she had gone through, Yunjin was saying she hadn't meant to hurt her?
"How can you say that after everything you've done?" She cried out, unable to contain her anger.
"Nari, please calm down." Yeonjun tried to grab Nari's arm, but she yanked it away without even looking at him.
"I thought we were best friends, Yunjin," Nari shouted. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
Yunjin shook her head in response to Nari's words, "We still are, Nari. Please, just listen to me."
Yunjin never thought she would get caught, especially now. It hit her like a brick. She knew what she had done was awful and could never imagine Nari doing it to her, but she couldn't help it. She was in love, madly, deeply in love with her best friend's girlfriend
But now, standing here, faced with the consequences of her actions, how is she convince Nari to forgive her?
Nari looked over at Yeonjun and Aeri, both of whom were still in a state of shock and confusion. They watched as Nari and Yunjin stood facing off against one another, the tension filling the air.
Nari's voice broke for a moment as she tried to speak, taking a deep breath to compose herself before continuing. "She..." Yunjin's tears began to fall even more as she drew near to Nari, almost begging her not to do what she was about to.
"Please"
"She was the one who told Yeri about everything."
Yunjin's tears became louder, and Aeri and Yeonjuns eyes widened in shock. They turned to look at Yunjin, and their mouths were left open.
"That can't be possible," Yeonjun protested.
"It fucking is Yeonjun," Nari sniffled, pointing at Yunjin. "She told her everything, and you know why."
Aeri stepped forward, eyes still wide in shock, and spoke. "Yunjin what the fuck?"
"No, please listen," Yunjin said in a desperate voice as she took another step towards Aeri.
Aeri stepped back, trying to put more space between herself and Yunjin.
The park was empty, and fortunately, no one was around to witness the tense scene playing out in front of them.
Nari's lips trembled as her tears streamed down her face, and her eyes were filled with rage. "She's a jealous insecure bitch who wants Bada" she said through her tears, her words almost being lost amongst the flood of tears.
Yunjin was no stranger to Nari's cries. Every day, Nari would cry to her and share the pain she felt because of her father, and Yunjin would be there to comfort her. "Everything will be okay," Yunjin would say, and Nari would believe it as she sought her friend's companionship in a time of despair.
Nari found herself in a state of disbelief as she tried to make sense of the situation. Everything felt like a dream, a nightmare from which she would surely wake up any moment. But it was all too real. Nari could see right through Yunjin's act of innocence, and it only added to her anger.
"She wants Bada...? What are you saying" Yeonjun spoke, sounding completely incredulous while trying to make sense of it all.
But Aeri understood right away, and suddenly everything became extremely clear. The reason for Yunjin's distance these past months, her lack of enthusiasm for Bada and Nari, it all made sense now.
She recalled how many times she had caught Yunjin's gaze lingering on them, the hint of jealousy. But she had failed to notice the signs all along.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Yunjin flinched when Aeri suddenly grabbed onto her jumper and started shaking her. "How could you do this? She's your best friend, she trusted you"
"I'm sorry."
"Aeri stop-"
"Only a fucked up person would do this. Do you understand?" Aeri continued to ignore Yeonjun's yells, her gaze and hands still firmly placed on Yunjin, who had her eyes closed in humiliation. "She never did anything bad to you, and yet you betrayed her trust and stabbed her in the back"
"She took Bada..." Yunjin whispered softly, her voice breaking as she tried to find her voice.
Aeri stopped as she heard Yunjin's words, and turned to look at her in disbelief. Behind her, Nari let out a chuckle, as if she knew what was coming.
"Yunjin are you hearing yourself" Yeonjun said, still shocked at what Yunjin words
Yunjin looked directly at Nari, her gaze now full of hatred. "She took Bada from me... I love her... I love her from the moment I saw her," she said, her voice filled with anguish.
"Oh my god," Nari exclaimed, grasping her head with both hands as she crouched down, speechless, unable to believe what she was hearing
"You did all this... because of a girl," the short-haired girl whispered, her voice filled with shock and disbelief.
"You don't understand!" Yunjin screamed, pushing away Aeri abruptly. "You fucking don't understand how it feels to be in your shadow. Everyone loves you, you are everyone's favorite, even my mom's. She prefers you over me"
Nari looked at Yunjin with shock on her face. "Are you out of your fucking mind?" She was unable to wrap her head around what Yunjin had just said, and her disbelief was clear on her face. "Do you realize how crazy you're sounding right now?"
"Then I saw Bada and Nari- I couldn't get her out of my mind," Yunjin spoke as the emotions overcame her once more.
Nari rubbed her face with her hands, not sure how to react to Yunjin's admission. Yeonjun muttered some curses under his breath and Aeri stared at Yunjin angrily as she began to speak loudly again.
"But you had to take her from me, like always," Yunjin yelled and the words seemed to hit Nari hard.
Nari got up and got face to face with Yunjin, her emotions taking over. "How would I have known? Huh? You never told us," she exclaimed. "Unlike you, I wouldn't go after my best friend's girlfriend"
"I saw her first," Yunjin grabbed Nari's wrist harshly as she spoke, but Yeonjun immediately stepped in between them before things could escalate.
"Yunjin, hands off" Yeonjun said in a cold voice, as if he was warning her.
"If you had told me, I would never have messaged or even talked to her," Nari spoke softly, tears spilling over once more. "I considered you as my sister, Yunjin. We cried together and we laughed together. We were close since we were kids"
"I'd rather die than do something like this to you. How could you do this? Didn't you feel sorry for me when I cried on your lap because of that account? Fucking speak Yunjin am I a two faced bitch like you said? "
"Just hit me instead of my father Yunjin" she said forcefully, grabbing Yunjin's wrist and pulling her towards her.
Nari was shaking, unable to control her emotions. It was clear to all that she was not thinking straight, and that her anger and frustration were overwhelming her.
Aeri immediately stepped in, grabbing Nari's arm and trying to move her away from the situation. At the same time, Yeonjun tried to pull Yunjin away
Nari hugged Aeri tightly, burying her face against her friend's neck as she sobbed.
"Am I really a bad person, Aeri?" Nari asked through her tears. "Do I deserve this?"
"No, love," Aeri said gently, cupping Nari's face with one hand. "She's the bad person in this case," she whispered softly
Nari's heart was breaking further with each passing moment as the sound of Yunjin's screams echoed in her ears. She felt a sharp pain in her chest as she watched her former best friend being dragged away
You ruined everything Yunjin..
Yunjin looked desperately at Yeonjun, trying to get through to him and get him to hear her side of the story. "Yeonjun, please," she pleaded. "You understand me, right?"
Yeonjun sighed, unable to meet her gaze. "Yunjin, you need help, I'm being serious," he said firmly. "What you did is f*cked up"
"You didn't just lose her, you lost all of us" those were his words before he left too, leaving a crying Yunjin alone
