I have a question about the first season that i don't quite understand. Everyone who dies in that house, stays the same age for the eternity after their death. However Moira can go "back and forth", and i know that only men see her as her young self and in the end (Christmas time, ect) she stays as her old self. Basically question is why did she "age" in the house, even though when she was killed she was young? Hopefully you understand what im getting at :)
The answer to that question is still debatable to most of us. Some theorize that it’s because her body is still on the property, which, if that were true, would mean that the same would happen to Hayden and Violet eventually. Others think it’s because she hadn’t gained any closure in her death, so part of the girl that died in that house still remains, and she uses that to her advantage in order to bring Constance’s crime to light, like she did with Ben and Joe Escandarian. But really I just think it’s not so much of a matter of “why is she an exclusion to the mythology” and just more a matter of Ryan trying to make a statement about women. Moira was the vehicle that helped expose the true horror of gender dynamics, which was crucial to the main theme of infidelity.
