The weather in Texas has been hovering at a pretty consistent 100º F. I think it’s safe to call that blistering heat. Maybe I can call it blistering if Tuesday is indeed 105º with a Heat Index of 110º. I’m just glad I learned a trick where I can roll down all my windows before getting into my car.
Sitting in the blistering heat of my car, I’ve been listening to tapes and CDs of my incredibly talented friends. I’ve been realizing that a lot of my friends make wonderful, beautiful, amazing, and important art and I really want to be better at recognizing them as often as I can.
In keeping with that sentiment, I’d like to share a song by my friends from Omaha, NE: Calm Fur.
In the future, I’ll get in depth about bands and connections and all the feels. This song is a gem. Put it in a little velvet bag and hold it close on your journeys for the last days of this summer. “Summer Gems.”
