uh oh ; he’s caught. Steve freezes in spot, staring blankly at the blonde with a tinge of fear in his expression. so, maybe he’d been leaving cute little notes every time he stopped by . . . with little doodles of stick figures and little hearts and maybe a little character or two. he must have stared a little too long, because Blue starts tugging on his pant leg, growling playfully to bring him back to the present. reaching down to run his hand through her soft fur, the detective clears his throat, flicking his eyes to the “cameras” hidden in the room before turning his attention back on Penelope.    ❝ You, uh . . . you figured it out, huh? You’re uh . . . you’re a regular lil’ detective, aren’t you? ❞
