Your analysis of Labyrinth was amazing and it made me understand why as a teen I was obessed with it! I was devastated that they didn't end up together and would read Labyrinth fanfiction to cope--as an adult I've always felt kinda bad about how much I romanticized and wanted to live out the Jareth/Sarah relationship, but I was also very much that fantasy driven girl who was afraid to own her sexuality and actions. Thank you for that, it was really great to read ❤️

I was also very much that kid, and while I grew out of it somewhat... I’m still very fond of my Goblin King. 

(Honestly, I still do even high-key ship Jareth/Sarah, but in a “I know this would be a trash fire if you transplanted it IRL, but in a post-movie and/or AU setting where everyone is a consenting adult and things like ‘safewords’ exist....” kinda way. XD )

Here's a message of positivity to detract you from cowardly terfy trolls ❤️ you're a lovely person and I read your comment as "women of color who happen to have thick body hair" as in there are some women of color who do have thick body hair, not that all women of color do. And it's not racist either way, the right thing to do would be to correct a misconception if in fact there was one. But we already know that TERFs are just out to hurt trans people, so I doubt logic ever occurred to them.

Yeah that is how I meant it, but I doubt any of them are interested in hearing it.  They don’t really care about whether or not it’s racist, they just want to get mad at trans women!

I think getting rid of "the" in some instances would help reduce the clunkiness, especially if she's talking to Fiona. Like, "you, elf, come here". As in she sees only an elf, not a person

I’m talking about in the narration though.

Like, say I had the scene from Maric’s POV it might say something like ‘Fiona reached for the teacup’.

In Celia’s POV it’d say ‘The elf reached for the teacup.’
