It's a jute doodle! Six quadruple treble stitches are separated by some chain stitches. Instead of 5 yarn overs to begin each tall stitch, I added 5 half hitches to my crochet hook, then worked the loops off 2 by 2 as usual. I also alternated 2 colors of jute: add loops to the hook with color A, work the off with color B, then alternate that. (I'm about to update issue 3 of the newsletter. I've been experimenting with crocheting letters by using linked and y-stitches. It's taken several attempts! Still rough around the edges. I'm going to keep trying. All right so I'm trying out a tall-stitch flower motif but as an edging, and alternating an old gold color with an old silver color of thread I bought in Paris to see what happens with a glass of wine, to then see if this is the way I want to spruce up a Moleskine notebook.
