I’m the curious anon that was asking about MalTal.

A’ight, first thing you gotta understand is that in this fandom, if it could be shipped, it has been. There’s some really weird fanfics out there.

As for why I ship Talzahar, A, when I first joined the community, I randomly searched for Talon comics and ended up on @asktalon‘s blog. Their portrayal of Talon and how he could possibly come to like Malz is what got me into the ship, and considering Talon and Malz were my favorite champions at the time, I thought it was awesome.

The B part has to do with how I see Malzahar. Now, as anyone who’s watched me for a while will tell you, my perception of him really ramps up the human aspect of him. To me, he’s very much a human monster. He could live a normal life if he wanted, he just doesn’t. He’s god awful, but he’s still very human. Malzahar can be personable, he can have a normal conversation with you just as easily as he could sacrifice you.

He aims to bring the end, but he still needs companionship. And Malz would need someone who could understand him and hold their own in a fight. Malzahar hates humanity, and considering I get the same feel from Talon, I think Talon fits both of those.

I can see Malz just coming up to Talon and being like “Hey, how’s the murder business going?” And while Talon might not want to talk, I doubt he’d try and attack or kill Malzahar unless Malzahar made himself a threat. And Malz wouldn’t sacrifice Talon unless the Void demanded it. In fact, I don’t think he sacrifices people unless his gods demand it, or the person has put themselves on his hitlist.

Also, my Malzahar really admires physical strength, and I’m pretty sure parkour man over here has got that down.
