we as a society have to develop clearer ways to communicate to readers when a book is romantasy versus when a book is fantasy with romance in it. i cannot keep being bamboozled like this.
you can literally say “this bisexual woman is happily married to a cishet man and it doesn’t make her any less bisexual” in a post and people will bend over backwards to assure you that they aren’t biphobic while still trying to force an explanation that will prove she’s in a ~truly queer relationship~ with a woman. no. I said what I said. queer women can still love cishet men. and they are still queer. you need to listen to that and understand it. internalize it. who a bi person dates does not determine whether or not they are gay enough to be appreciated by the queer community.
question for mutuals: has anyone gone no contact with difficult parents. if so would you be willing to talk w me about it.

god the public library is so beautiful. catching up with a series I only own half the books for and now I can read the last two without paying anything at all. they’ll literally be available tomorrow. we stay winning.
you know what’s the really good shit. when two characters in dire / fatal circumstances have a whole conversation about what could have been if they’d had the chance to fall in love normally.
i’m talking the scene in under the whispering door where hugo and wallace act out what would have happened if they met before wallace died. i’m talking the scene in outlawed where lark and ada make up a love story together to justify a fake marriage and escape prison. juno and nureyev talking about leaving everything behind to travel together, even though they both know they never would.
i’m talking anything that gets two people to look at each other and say, we could’ve been happy, we could have done this differently, we could have avoided this whole situation if we’d just met a little sooner and known what we had. and knowing the whole time that it doesn’t matter, because things can’t be changed now. many such examples.
i don’t have twitter anymore and i barely post here but just for the mutuals who aren’t aware. i mainlined all of fma (manga) over the course of like three weeks last month and i just finished sailor moon (anime) and i feel insane about both of them in different ways.
