Bandai Releases Episode 36 of Tama Animation Series “Watch Out for the Dummy Button!”
Tamagotchi Smart mentioned! Episode 36 of the Tama Animation series is all about the Tamagotchi Smart, and the two dummy buttons, boy was that a moment! Milktchi is expressing what food she wants, her caregiver accidentally uses a fake button on the Tamagotchi Smart to choose the food, but doesn’t get selected, then accidentally touches the screen to choose the food. Cute!

Tamagotchi Center Tamagotchi Smart English Patch
The folks over at Tamagotchi Center are always cooking up something new. Many have been working on a patch for the Japanese Tamagotchi Smart to translate all, if not most on-screen verbiage from Japanese to English. This is being done by creating a custom Tama SmaCard that contains the English patch that can be installed.
The English patch by Tamagotchi Center is a 16MB store flash chip and features about 99% of the Japanese text translated into English. The really neat thing is that it’s future proof, meaning that if they release a update to the translation programming, you can use the Center FlashMate and companion web app to grab the latest programming.
The translation download quires you to charge your device for 2 hours and to keep the USB cable plugged in during the installation process. Do not touch any part of the card while the patching is in progress. Plug the card and hit the reset button to start the process! The screen will become white for 2 minutes, then once it turns off that indicates the the installation is complete. Simply take out the card and long press the middle button (B) for 10 seconds to turn the device back on.
