Recently got my hands on a tamapitchi!

And while the phone itself works, there's no network it can connect to so it's stuck on this screen:

I'm not giving up hope. Surely there's a solution to be found.

Until then! This is the inside board of a functioning tamapitchi. The only side I couldn't get pics of was the front of the board where the buttons and lcd are. Because I didn't want to risk snapping an extremely fine copper wire located at the bottom

The shell of the tamapitchi can be carefully pried apart after removing two screws in the battery compartment using a tr6 torx screwdriver bit. You have to unplug the battery first.

The antenna connects the two halves of the shell together and must be pried free to separate them as in the images. I suggest tweezers or a pry tool

The uppermost board is fastened with two screws on either side of the large component with the barcode on it. They can be unscrewed with a ph00 screwdriver bit

The last fastenings appear to be a series of soft plastic latches. I went no further than testing the give of one of them. It was extremely flexible
