I just realized...
When Lucy tells tamara she's family, Tamara doesn't actually know just how much Lucy means it.
Cuz at this point jackson and tamara are here only family (and maybe nolan, but hes not always with them, the way jackson and later tamara was with lucy) rest of the midwhilshire being just friends at that moment
And nobody except jackson knows or ever found out just how at odds Lucy is wither her parents, they've basically unofficially disowned her at this point, and the only person who knew was jackson
💔
Tim: where are you parents?
Tamara : Dead
Me: nope, these two are your parents now
Lucy: oh my god, somebody stole my car
Me: YESSSSSS TAMARA'S HERE
99.9% this is photoshop because I’ve seen this photo of just Eric and Melissa before however this is so cute 🥰 unless others I’ve seen have Tam cropped 🤷🏻♀️
Such a family photo
I need more of them
Can you draw Tamara from The Rookie series ?
Absolutely!! Here ya go
Thanks for the ask!
I love that Tim calls Tamara LUCY’S puppy. Like, I’m sorry?? Were you not there when she found her?? Were you not the one who helped her multiple times?? Are you not the one who also loves her?? Like excuse me sir, she belongs to BOTH of you! That is your daughter/sister-in-law! Don’t hit me with that ‘Lucy’s Puppy’ bullshit.
Things We Left Unsaid
Lucy just got home she was exhausted. Not only from work. She couldn’t stop worrying about Tim. She kept replaying their last conversation over and over again in her head wishing she could change what she said. But the damage was already done so the best thing she could do was try to trust Tim on this. She finally reached the door to her apartment after what felt like the slowest day of her life. She opened the door to Tamara standing by the counter phone in hand. “Just in time! I ordered pizza” Tamara says with a small empathetic smile on her face.
“Thank you. I have been dreading having to cook.” Lucy says as she walks towards the safe to put her gun away. Each step she takes heavier than the last.
“Any news on the Tim front?”
“Not yet so I’m just practicing trust, patience, and I hate it.” Lucy says with a small smile. Then there’s a knock at the door. “That was quick.” Tamara comments a bit confused. “I’m gonna go get changed.” Tamara nods and moves to answer the door. “Hey there I’m Ray, Tim’s friend.” She has this weird feeling like she should shut the door but she resists the urge. “Well he’s not here.” She says slightly confused. “That’s cool.” Ray says as he invites himself in. “Lucy!” Tamara yells now even more confused than before.
“Yeah?” Lucy says walking into the living room to see Ray standing there. “Can I help you?” She asks half hoping he has the wrong place and this is just some crazy coincidence. “I hope so. You Tim’s girlfriend?” Lucy’s eyes dart towards the safe and she makes a motion towards it.
“Oh you don’t need that I’m hear to help you not hurt you.” Lucy hearts start beating faster. “Yeah I think I’m gonna pass. You need to leave.” Her heart is racing faster and faster now.
“Tim never mentioned me?” He asks innocently.
“I have no idea who you are so how would I know if he mentioned you or not.” She tries to sound calm but her voice shakes.
“Why don’t you call Tim ask him about Mosul.” She glances over at Tamara she doesn’t know what this guys intentions are and she needs to get him out.
“The only phone call I’m going to make is for an ambulance to wheel you out of here unless you get out right now.” Before she can even register what’s happening Ray swings at her. Hitting her square in the face. She tries to get up but she’s too dazed. He walks toward and grabs her arm picking her up and pushing her against the counter. “Call Tim. Now.”
She tried fighting against his grip but he was too strong. “Fine, I’ll call Tim. On one condition. You let Tamara go out of the apartment.” She waited a beat for him to respond he was clearly thinking about her offer. “Fine. Go.” He finally said. Tamara hesitated for a second before leaving Lucy alone in the apartment with Ray. “Ok I did what you wanted, now call him.” Ray said. “Can you at least let my arm go so I can get my phone?” Ray reluctantly let go of her arm but kept a firm grip on her other wrist. She reached for her phone and clicked on Tim’s contact. “Hey is everything okay?” “
“Where the hell are you?” “Lucy-“ The phone was suddenly jerked from Lucy’s grip. “Hey Tim it’s your old friend Ray here.” Tim stomach formed a knot. “Ray leave her out of this.” Ray smiled slightly and gave a small chuckle. “Yeah well it’s a little too late for that.” Then the call dropped.
“Look Lucy you seem like a really nice person but Tim and me have some personal things going on and you’re the only thing that matters to him apparently.” Ray said with this fake sincerity that was almost scary.
“You’re not sorry.” She said turning her head to look at him.
“You’re right I’m not but I promise you I’m not a completely awful person.” He stated with a sickening smile. She watched as he reached down into his pocket to reveal a knife.
“You don’t want to do that.” She said her voice shaking slightly. “Why not?” He said mock frown. Then he pushed her against the counter facing him. “This may sting a bit.” He said as he shoved the knife into her abdomen. She tried to move away but his grip was too tight. Then she heard it. Sirens. Her body slightly relaxed as he pushed to her to the ground and darted out of the apartment. Lucy tried to get up, but failed. She grabbed a towel to put pressure down on her wound which was now bleeding more steadily. “Lucy! Oh my god are you okay?” Tamara said as she ran back in the apartment. “Yeah just a little cut. Are you okay?” She said with a weak smile. Then she saw Tim rush into her apartment.
“Lucy.” His body visibly relaxed at the sight of her, but the relief didn’t last long. “Oh my god, Lucy you’re bleeding.” He said sounding a bit frantic.
“I hadn’t noticed.” She replied with a tired smirk. He reached for the towel and applied pressure with one hand while the other reached up to cup her face. She was mad at him but she still melted into him at the touch. “Did Ray do this to you?” He asked already knowing the answer. Still she gave a small nod as confirmation. “Oh Luce I’m so sorry I promise I had no idea.” Then all at once their moment was interrupted by officers and paramedics all bursting through Lucy’s door. “Lucy we need to get you to the hospital.” Bailey said helping her onto the stretcher. “Do you want me to come?” Tim asked. “Well obviously.” She said slurring her words a little. He smiled at that and followed the paramedics out of the apartment. He was mad at himself for not protecting her but the only thing he could do for now was try to keep her safe.
