I'm currently reading a river enchanted, and I'm enjoying whatever is going on between torin and sidra more than the main leads😔🩷
Yes, I broke the rules by looking through fanarts before finishing the book.. but nothing spoiled, so yay!🧚♀️🎀

Sidra Tamerlaine -out of the garden.
Fingal “Fin” Breccan
A little WIP of Sidra Tamerlaine.
A Visitor
The island breathed with mist and cool winds that caressed the warrior’s long, blond hair. The droplets of mist caught in his beard as he stood, meters away from the clan line. His eyebrows furrowed in concentration. Deep in his bones he felt a disturbance. He wasn’t sure what yet.
As he stood looking out from his resting place, he thought of his wife. He found himself doing this more often lately. With everything that had been going on on the island, his family was more precious to him than ever.
Torin Tamerlaine grinned slightly as he thought of Sidra and Maisie sitting together at the kitchen table. Then, his thoughts flickered to a different image of his dark haired wife.
She was laying across his bed as the morning light filtered in from the window. It stroked her face, painting her in warm hues of sunlight and radiance. She wore nothing but a thin sheet over her body. Torin had come to visit her late in the night after a particularly hard day. Sidra didn’t say anything as Torin opened the door to their home. The ferocity and hunger in his eyes said everything. Sidra merely smiled and led him to their bedroom.
Now she lay in serenity. Peaceful and graceful and lovely. He nestled back down beside her. His nose was a hair’s width from hers. He breathed in her scent. The air coming out slowly from her nose. She smelled of sweet sweat. He kissed her cheek, tasting the sweat from her cheek. Sidra groaned and stretched out her arms, exposing herself from the linens that had covered her. Torin took in her form- that hunger for her forming again deep within him. Sidra pulled the blankets back up around her and mumbled. “Just a few more minutes, Torin.” He let her rest.
Just then, Torin heard a crashing through the trees. He and the other guard readied themselves and attacked the visitor that stumbled over from the Breccan’s side of the island. There would be no survivors.
