Book I've just Finished: I have just read, or rather re-read Sense and Sensibility - I have not read it in a long time! I also just read The Ministry of Time. Another comfort reread but it was the audiobook TBF.

Book on my TBR: I really want to read Witch Queen Rising by Savannah Stephens. I saw it a few weeks ago in Foyles before I was on a book buying ban.

Favourite Book: ooh don't make me choose between my children! My favourite book read this year is Kin by Tayiri Jones.

Favourite non-fiction: I always come back to bell hooks' work, she was a brilliant writer.

Childhood Favourite: I was a Jacqueline Wilson kid, so loved her books. I will say I think I loved Dust Bin Baby the most.

Warner: *speaking about very classified stuff*

Their daughter: *runs in with a ribbon sloppily tied around dog's ear*

Warner: *takes dog, removes ribbon from ear and ties it prettily on Dog's head instead without breaking eye contact from the other officials* ....We cannot let them leave, their lives will be forfeit the moment they step foot outside......

Other officials: *too scared to say anything*

It's all fun and games until the reliable first-person narrator ends a chapter on "wait guys hear me out I've got a plan huddle in close while I tell you" and then it skips to either them doing the plan or some random side plot like look if you're a character in charge of telling me your narrative let me be there for the secret meetings don't make me waittt
