probably because Store didn't work, it wasn't worth the money (or we all just pirated the stuff HA HA). they have a lot stupider anti-piracy measures now, plus the game itself SUCKS. Nobody I know is bothering.

oh my GOD, yes. and Stiles is super cheerful, even when Derek's trying to pretend he didn't really order cake at 4am. and Stiles can tell Derek's mood just from his cake choice, "must have been a bad day work, huh, goin' all out with red velvet." or like "mmm triple chocolate fudge, man if i didn't have another delivery to make i would sooo stand here all night and make chocolatey puns till u let me in to share that with you" and Derek's always interested in the CAKE first, and so never really pays attention to Stiles and his cuteness until one day SOMEONE ELSE brings Derek's cake to the door and he's so disappointed? and they don't say anything fun, they don't tell Derek's he's as delicious as the cake he's holding, they don't say anything except hold their hand out for a tip, and so Derek has to go hunting. looks up the bakery and scouts it out, turns up in the day, and Stiles like FALLS OFF the counter he's been sitting on, SECRETLY PINING because Derek never responded to any of his flirting, just huffed and half laughed and oh god HE'S HERE. IN THE DAYLIGHT. WEARING A SWEATER WITH THUMBHOLES AND SMILING SHYLY AT STILES.
and the next time they see each other it's for dinner, and when they're asked if they want desert, they lock eyes and Stiles smirks like, i think we'll have ours to go, and Derek rolls his eyes fondly at the pun, and they make out at Derek's door and Stiles brings him cake FOR FREE, but Derek doesn't care about the cake anymore (well, sort of, he always eats it) but instead he likes making out with Stiles on the couch, or arguing about movies, and he discovers Stiles can do some amazingly creative things with cake in bed mhm.
also Derek has to promise he's NOT in it for the cake, but Stiles, when Stiles has a crisis that Derek loves cake more than him.

he operates a lot on instinct and feelings and really DOESN'T think things through, if he took a meyers-briggs he'd definitely be a strong F.
He berates himself a lot in his head, and really doesn't have a strong sense of self-esteem. It keeps him far away from that hero complex the default Shep tends to have and more of an "well this has to be done and I'm the one here, so..." kind of idea.
when he does things he does them 110% or not at all. He either cares about something or he gives zero shits. When he invests in something it's his ENTIRE being. I guess that might be some kind of perfectionism? I dunno.
Compartmentalizing. If he can't deal with a thing or his emotions are getting crazy he just ... shuts it away. Maybe it'll come back later, or maybe it won't. But he has this ability to go "Okay I am not dealing with this now. Close the door, turn the key, it's gone. Next!"
He needs people and absolutely hates to be alone. It's probably one of his worst fears.
