What if the police intercepted the gunman on the way to the crime before he could commit the murder?
What if, at 2106 hrs, 2nd April, Armed officer of the Metropolitan Police, after receiving intelligence, intercepted the gunman on his way to Chalgrove Road?
The unmarked police cars box in the gunman’s car, the officers, arms at ready make their way towards the car, shouting instructions as they move in closer.
The gunman, ignoring the instructions makes a sudden move, the officer with the gunman in his line of sight squeezes off 3 rounds, 1 to the head, 2 to the chest.
In this scenario two things happen.
Tanesha Melbourne goes home, her life does not change. she grows up, has a family and lives out her life unaware what would have happened if the police had not stopped her would be murderer.
Just like they did with Mark Duggan.
But she, today, is sat there, watching the crowds mass and grow angry on TV as another man is killed by the police brutality.
