I get Likot and Ubbul to dig out the workshops. I have a jeweller's, a mechanic's, a mason's and a carpenter's workshop set up, plus nearby stockpiles.

it's not until he fucks off off the side of the map that I remember that "Raze X" means he's, well, razing X, and that Flaxcrab must be a settlement of some sort.

I never see him again. Given that he's just gone to fuck up a settlement all by himself that is not surprising.
