Honestly the fanfic writers in tangled are literally so GOOD because tell me why I cried on ‘The silent Opera’
And pulled out an all nighter to read Blood of my brother and Blood of the Covenant(I hope the creator of this fic updates since last update was 2026-06-06)

Blood of my brother has GOT to be my most favorite fanfic ever, the dynamic between Hector and Varian was captured perfectly, how Hector still messes up and tries to understand his brother(Quirin) son, and protects him as Quirin is gone.
Blood of the Covenant is part 2 of Blood of my Brother, Where Quirin and Hector fights, where Quirin wants Varian to be safe but ended up following the brotherhood oath/path because of Hector. Even if Quirin doesn't agree, seeing his son so hurt but yet came out strong and resilient thanks to Hector, atleast his now sure his son would be atleast strong,
Honestly the scene where they had to be locked up again because of the mind trap on the brotherhoods made me SOB bro
Like Varian was so traumatized that he didn't want to return to the point Quirin had to carry him all the way to their cell because Varian was so close to having a panic attack.
Those 2 fanfics will make you HATE king Fredric I swear, like oh my gosh varian you suffered so bad 💔 but then again Eugene was supposed to be executed because he stole a crown in og tangled story 😭🙏
So if it wasn't Disney friendly that would have probably happened 💔
For the silent opera, WARNING this fics has mentions of Sexual assault and Forced marriage between varian and some older character
Whereas when you reach an age you'd have to hear your soulmates song and YES it's VARIGO (Varian x Hugo)
It was really one-sided at first but lucky Varian ended up being with Hugo in the end ---THIS IS SPOILERS BTW.

I'm writing an AU about a Moonstone Varian, with Varigo. It's an AU, so the story won't follow the standard Vat7K formula.
Edit: Currently I'm looking for someone who really knows the main cast, as I'm afraid they are maybe a bit too OOC right now!
I have written about 2/3rds of the story so far, but have trouble continuing from where I am now. I'd love a little help figuring out where to go from here. Be warned, it can get pretty dark at certain times (it does contain a torture scene)
The main antagonist is Frederic, so fans who like him should keep that in mind if you do want to help.
In exchange, I will mention & tag you in every chapter and incorporate (several of) your OC's in the story as background characters (mainly artwise) + a drawing of said OC's in the Tangled style!
