Bitebird, Doctor of TangleClan, works to hang up a new sigil on a doorway.

Doctor: The lead Chemist of a clan, typically a cat with great healing knowledge and often a connection to the territory or to the Silverpelt.

Sigils: A floating manifestation of a cat's spirit. These are tied to a cat's name and each is unique. They can be used to identify both living and dead cats. TangleClan makes sigils out of twigs to attach to important places.

TangleClan: One of four clans in the Mountainfoot Territories. Known for their mysterious and lavish ceremonies.

Bitebird is a sleek black molly with white socks and piercing yellow eyes. She acts as the senior healer of TangleClan, a group of cats that operates in a dense, wet forest.

After a devastated EagleClan asks their allies for help, Bitebird is sent to train a new apprentice in the ways of healing. She must face a different type of life in the shrublands, and learn to interpret the new omens that Silverpelt sends her way; all while teaching the only hope this broken clan has.

The Mountainfoot Territories are home to four clans of cats; FernClan of the pines, TangleClan of the brush, CloudClan of the streams, and EagleClan of the scrub. These clans are bound by the Silverpelt Treaty, a collection of rules and proposals that make sure prey is bountiful, kits are safe, and they skies above stay together. Recent conflict, however, may mean that the treaty fails. When stars begin to fall from Silverpelt, what fate will befall the clans?
