Very much inspired by ssshiversss and Map Max, whose versions of the map were absolutely invaluable for wrapping my head around this project. Combining their work with the original map of Jamrock, and doing my best to stay loyal to the (often contradictory) descriptions in the text of the game, I think I’m happy with what I’ve ended up with.
Much like my predecessors, I have elected to separate Coal City and La Delta, and in fact ignore any attempt by the game to convince me that La Delta is west of Martinaise. It just… It just isn’t.
Game description struggles aside, this was really fun!! Details/Description in the alt text.
— Added three more stages from Air Riders; Steampunk Forges, Crystalline Fissures, and Airtopian Ruins!
— Made Dream Land an ENTIRE ISLAND!! In one of the Slam Hockey stages where it is set in a sky high arena, there's an appearance of Dreamland where it is surrounded by the ocean! I decided to translate this into my map.
— Downsized Friendly Fields
— Adjusted outlines
— Added Curiosities! This is where I drop knowledge about a particular place or location as to why they are the way they are, or some not-well known info that I've gathered while I was researching for making the map!
Welcome to the Wardrobe: Homeworld of the Sheetheads
This is an albeit simple but official world map of the planet SHEETHEADS takes place on. The Wardrobe is a planet geographically defined by it's land bridges. Almost every major continent at this point in time is connected by a long chain of land bridges. A geographic phenomena that formed through both sheer happenstance and the culmination of billions of years of heightened tectonic movement and extreme orogeny. Spurred on by the warmth of constant tidal heating of it's partner planet the Hangar.
Each continent is also named after a fashion style of our own world. Ranging from ethnic costumes and uniforms from all over to contemporary internet movements. With a pinch of literary and movie references for the major landmarks :) . Despite the overwhelmingly human naming scheme. There is actually no human presence on or near the Wardrobe. Not even a native sophont presence. These names are purely out of universe titles to summarize their soul. And to fit in with the rest of the Clothing related naming scheme I have going on.
You all have no idea just how happy I am with this. I don't know how to properly write it out other than I "Put my whole pussy into it". I took off my ankle weights and fulfilled all my old childhood obsessions with mapmaking. The world itself is hugely inspired by both early renditions of exoplanets that were just all landbridges. And planet textures from the game Stellaris of all things which did something similar (A game I absolutley do not recommend btw I burnt over 100 hours into it and regret It to this day).
These two guides on Coastlines and Polar Distortion were what started all this back at the start of 2024. And I literally could not have gotten away from breaking free of polar distortion without G.Projector.
I've been practicing on and off for over the past year with mapmaking. You've seen some of it through some old doodles and the Neo-Anthropocene Biosphere Lineup. But this has finally been a moment where I could finally take off those Ankle weights and apply everything I learnt into this. I couldn't be any happier because of it. I hope my younger self would've loved to see how far I've come artistically.
Here's also a blank version of the map with no grid or names
And lastly here are some projections of the Wardrobe on a globe. To show off the fact that I am finally free from the weird Polar pinch effect you see in so many other world maps.
Hello, and welcome to another episode of Erica Obtains and Geeks Out Over an Official Map of a Fictitious Place!
The official map: Storybrooke!
Because I’ve only seen a bazillion people trying to figure it out, so I thought I’d see if I could hunt something down. And I did! This is a map made for and used in the show's production! And I'm excited to share it!
(And I know it might not be the only “official” one they made over the course of the show, but this one was in the third episode of Season 1, so it has some hierarchy in my book!)
Here are some pictures of the back of the map/ outer and inner folds (I am LOVING the blurb!):
The inside flaps read:
There's a good reason Storybrooke is known as "Vacation Town." All the ingredients for the perfect summer vacation are right here, waiting for you to cook up a plan.
Begin with a couple of days relaxing on a sandy beach, oceanside or by a sparkling lake. Make time for golf, kayaking or biking. Take afternoon breaks for shopping or antiquing. Spice up your evenings with summer music festivals, art walks or fabulous meals at local restaurants. Cool off at a water park or head inland for whitewater adventures.
Whatever your taste, a trip to Storybrooke is a recipe for fun, with more than enough variety to satisfy all the family.
Thanks to its natural setting - a spectacular coast and a woodsy, mountainous interior - a visitor to the state can find an almost endless variety of things to do. From the shops of the historic town center to the pristine wilderness of Mighton Forest, there is so much to do you'll run out of time before you ever explore all the possibilities.
And here is the map itself! Not as sprawling as I'd hoped, but having the lay of the land is excellent for storytelling:
A close-up of the legend:
And some close-ups of the map:
I cannot tell you how much I love maps when it comes to choreographing a story. They are so important to me, and having this in my resources for writing silly little fics may seem exceptionally silly, but oh God, it just makes it that much better for me! It feels so important to be able to name something and ground it. Plus, it's a map. Who doesn't like maps?
Now, unfortunately, I felt a little sad to see it was not exactly as the one on the site I purchased from. Because I was really excited to see all the places listed on that side panel (Go-Karts?? Are you kidding me??).
I realize they probably had one like this before they realized sleepy small-town Storybrooke would not need 24 hotels and an airport, but all the local stuff could have stayed!
I did type out what the website's version of the side panel said for any interested parties (I love that they're all "centres"):

Doing more with my post apocalyptic setting again! Behold: a political map of the mid Atlantic 75 years after a zombie apocalypse.
Map key:
Full colored spaces = areas with no undead, useally having been able to prevent the undead from ever entering early in.
Partial color = areas where undead populations have been lowered and where the society they share the color of has major influence.
Low color = areas which still remain fully infested with the undead but where the society they share the color of still have some presence or claim to.
Blank = fully infested with undead with any humans being small populations of scavengers. These areas don't look much different from how they did at the hight of the outbreak.
Factions:
Red = New York: an anarcho communist city state controlled by several factions working in tandem. The most technologically advanced and high population society in the mid Atlantic.
Purple = The Iroquois Confederacy: a mostly indigenous state having regained independence from the United States after the outbreak and rebuilt a sovereign society.
Green = The Mountain Lords: in the Appalachians which form natrual barrier to the undead armies, the mountain lords have created a feudal system of sorts controlled by various outposts and surviving towns.
Blue = United States: the remains of the former government around the old capital. Considers the entire region their sovereign domain and are hostile to any societies that they interact with.
Grey: Sea People: traders and priates who survive in nuclear submarines, trading for things such as food. They have a few outposts on land but their true territory is within the Atlantic, and how long their range actually is is unknown.
