As you know I've been hard at work on a portfolio project that I started last year. Originally it was just costume design but over the semester I decided to make it a large scale visual development portfolio. My strong suit is character design so I'm starting there. These are all of my new details for Sally, the main character from Tangleroot Palace by Marjorie Liu, and I still have one look to go. I started overprinting in areas because I was getting tired of being patient. BUT I think I'm going to be able to get rid of my line art entirely. I had intended to get more painting done but after I scanned in my sketch I realized the proportions and pose were way off. So after some time with the lasso and resize tool and flipping my sketch I ended with something that looked way better than what I started with.
