A thing: Tanis binds. (Toby is just either trans or very knowledgeable about trans things and this could apply to like a canon universe drabble or something with Trans Jim)

Unsafely.

In a lot of S.O.N universes, it’s established that Tanis has, y’know. A feminine chest. COugh.

And that she’s nonbinary.

Put it this way in her perspective: You’ve been a dragon all your life and suddenly you’re a mammal with these weird lumps on your chest that make everyone think you’re a girl. And she doesn’t know how to use her theater magic to make one, so she uses Ace Bandages.

At some point, Tanis sleeps over at Toby’s house, and he walks in on her redoing her bandages and it goes a bit like this thing I saw once.

Toby: Tanis! Are those...

Tanis: I can explain--

Toby: ACE BANDAGES!?

And then he properly gives her a lecture on binder safety.
