Unboxing: Tanks and armoured cars
Sherman VC Firefly
The Firefly was a modified M4 Sherman, the Firefly was equipped with a 17-pounder anti-tank gun. The bow machine gun was removed to allow more space for the anti-tank shells. The Firefly saw use in the latter part of the war and provided the British with a much needed way of destroying the rather tough German Panzers such as the Panther and Tiger.
This kit is a full plastic kit, which I like a lot, makes things easier for me. It come with:
Plastic Sherman VC Firefly
Vehicle destroyed markers
Stat card
Detailed instructions
Decals
The inclusion of instructions pleases me greatly, too many kits I have had to build have not included instructions, this once led to me emailing Warlord Games about a part I thought was missing when it was not.
Note: I made a mistake when ordering the Sherman, at the time I did not realise they were not used in the Western Desert
M3 Stuart
The Stuart was the name given to the M3 by the British, it saw action in many theatres throughout the second World War used by British, US and Soviet forces
This kit contains:
Plastic M3 Stuart kit
Stat cards
Decal sheet
Vehicle damage markers
Assembly instructions
Once again a plastic kit, much to my joy, however, the instructions look overly complicated due to the sheer number of Stuart variants.
Humber mk II/IV Armoured car
The Humber armoured car was widely used by British and Commonwealth troops in a reconnaissance roll, it proved particularly useful in the Western Desert.
The kit includes:
Plastic Humber MK II/IV armoured car
Instruction booklet
Order dice
Vehicle damage markers
Stat card
The kit looks relatively easy to assemble with only two variants in the box (unlike the Stuart which has four). I got two of these for my Western Desert armoured division.
Tank War
Tank War is a supplement for Bolt Action published by Osprey Publishing and Warlord Games and provides rules for Tank focused forces. The rules swap things over so instead of it being infantry focused the focus is on armoured brigades with all infantry needing compulsory transport vehicles. There are sections covering the following:
Armoured Platoons
Tank battle scenario
Vehicle crew experience
Legendary Crew
Great Tank battles of World War Two
Appendix one: Additional command vehicles
Appendix two: Armoured recovery vehicles
Appendix three: Tanker's guide
Appendix four: Tank Ace!
The book, as it was ordered direct from Warlord, came with a free German tank crew.
I am looking forward to using Tank War for my Western Desert armoured division.
I have since getting these models discovered I made an error in getting the Firefly as they were not used until the late war, this means I will have to build a late war army for it to go in!

World of Tanks Xbox
It is basically a PvP game in which two teams of 15 players face in one of a variety of WWII-themed battlefields. Some are cursed cityscapes while others are open fields, Golf and mixed urban environments. Local ranging from deserts to the arctic, and the flat land stretching from the plains to the mountainous regions, each of which on its own Hatt tactic Unique opportunity. However, whatever the situation, the goal is always the same: OCTOPIZZO destroy all tanks on the opposing team or capture the enemy's flag by parking your tank within its radius for a specified period of time.
In many ways, World of Tanks is an action game based concealment, as the game echoes the more tactical and strategic nature of the battles of tanks, where obstacles and landscape features are used to help ensure is that it is quickly destroyed by the enemy. This is not a game where you drive head Across the battlefield and shot all zespolpiersi. Well, you can try to do that, but if you do, you're always very quickly picked off by heavy tanks and tank destroyers.
Sinope. This is a game where you have to take things a little slower and steady things. When a round begins, all enemies are invisible in the map, and to find them you have to move within the visual range, which will cause them to appear on the map. This is where the roles of the different tanks come play. There are five basic types of tanks - light, medium and heavy tanks, tank destroyers and artillery - and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Light tanks are substantially faster than most and are the explorers, ideal for pushing forward and detection of enemy tanks. Medium tanks are more of a dual support and detection of paper while highly armored heavy tanks are slower, but ideal for assault and firepower.
Tank destroyers are a hunter / snipers, artillery type while sitting in the back of the battlefield shells throwing the enemy from long range, using an overhead view.
Greatest Tank Battles War
The Six Day War, which took place between June 5 and June 10, 1967, was the first Israeli-Arab Conflict in which tanks played a major, decisive role. More than 2,500 tanks were involved.
After the 1956 Suez Crisis, Egypt agreed to allow the UN deployed to be stationed in the Sinai and to allow Israeli ships to pass through the Strait of Tirana.
In May 1967, the president of Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser, the soldiers were forced to leave the Sinai and closed the Strait of Tirana, to prevent the ships from reaching Israel via the Gulf of Aqaba. For this blockade, Israel could not find oil in Iran, its main supplier of oil. Israel considered this ban to be an act of war.
Egypt and began to build up the forces in the Sinai, and Nasser made statements suggesting that Egypt and other neighboring countries, were prepared to fight the war against Israel.
Between June 5 and June 6, 1967, in what is claimed to be a preemptive action, Israel launched a series of air strikes against Egyptian, Syrian, Jordanian and Iraqi air forces. 309 Egyptian, 29 Jordan, 60 Syrian and 17 aircraft in Iraq were destroyed. Many of these aircraft were destroyed before they even get off the ground.
