Of course most everyone here knows Gracie as I have an entire blog dedicated to sharing photos of her. I got her in October of 2024 from an extremely sweet and caring woman who just couldn’t keep her any longer. I’m going to cut Gracie segment here otherwise this would solely be a Gracie post

This is mahoni…. Photo of him from yesterday cozy on his special towel. He is Brace yourself 14 years old. My mom got him for my sister when I myself was 3 and as a puppy he was as tall as me and jumped on me so we chose him. He’s a purebred American cocker Spaniel which isn’t something we care much about he’s just an insanely sweet silly booger-y dog. He likes to wipe his snot and eye boogers on your bare legs or pants and will try to sneak next to you to do it so you don’t expect it. As he’s elderly he was an enlarged heart and sustaining cough but regardless he still prances around like a puppy which always makes us nervous. He loves his own burger patty and pieces of cucumber

The birds ... These guys are always on the move with something to say. In the first photo, Sprite is the one in the corner, Goldbug is the first one to the left, followed by Sweetpea, and Tiny. Those latter 3 are all rescues we took in for friends for Sprite. The little orange and green canary is Pumpkin!! She is unbelievably sweet. None of the 5 are fully hand tamed but they have a Kind Of idea of free flight time? But it's not always safe for them especially with ceiling fans. This summer I plan on going hard with the 5 of them to get them to step up and come out. The white parakeet in the middle image was Bean. He was my family's first ever bird. Last year he passed away from old age, outliving two prior companions (Sugar and Pip). He was extremely sweet and sociable and loved Sprite and everyone he ran into. Tiny is also rather elderly but since we took him in he seems to have a new lease on life with his pals. :-)

This is Tiff! Tiffany is long for Tiff. She's the newest member of my family and she's already extremely social and sweet. My sister has always loved guinea pigs and we had two previously when i was like; 3. she loves attention and she loves run-around time in my sisters room.

and the tanks...!!! i am going to painstakingly group this into one but I have 3 main tanks currently + my quarantine tank. this is due to expand scarily soon. My (normal) crawfish is Parsnip, who's got his own private suite in my room who I just added 3 mystery snails to recently in hopes of them doing some cleaning and he's miraculously left them alone! The other crayfish is a Mexican Dwarf crayfish in my community tank. His name is PJ for Parsnip Jr. The Betta is Monkey! I love monkey sooooo much. Actually prior to Tuesday we had two bettas (not held together obviously). We lost Minx this week who was my mom's betta who she loved a lot. We're still unsure how she even managed to jump from her tank (There is a very think, cut-out sliver where she would have had to struggle to squeeze through in order to jump out). I'm still very sad about it as is my mom because she was so sweet. The current count for tank animals is 1 Crayfish, 1 Dwarf crayfish, 1 Corydoras (due to increase), 2 Khulis (also due to increase), around 22(?) guppies, 19 of which were born from one single stoaway guppy (her name is Pox and she is still pregnant), Around maybe 25 neocaradina shrimp, 1 betta, 3 Ottos, 3 mystery snails, and 1 pleco. I could be forgetting someone. But total that's about 79 tank buddies. In total; not counting my mom's millions of little predatory mites (microscopic, hunts pest species) on her indoor plants, that's 87 beasts in my house; which is due to increase pretty soon . GRIN

A tank stance

The sniper doesn’t want to be tanking. I don’t want that sniper tanking. The healers don’t want that sniper tanking. The melee DPS don’t want that sniper tanking. No one wants that sniper tanking.

By all means the taunts should stay for prescribed aggro drops and tank swaps but for the love of all that is holy let a tank tank without needing an advanced degree in keeping boss aggro.

I've been tanking a ton lately in FFXIV and it's very fun. Got over my tankxiety by simply no longer giving a shit what people think about my skill level as a player and it somehow caused me to be a better tank. "Fuck it, we ball," and such.
