plant + equipment order from yesterday. the tank is a 10G with no real theme. just kinda playing it by ear. all of these plants are not for that one aquarium, though. these are being dispersed across two other existing setups as well. details beneath the cut if you wanna check ‘em out!

the light is a 20in Finnex Planted Plus. it’s a little overkill for the tank since everything in it is going to be lower-light, but i wanted the flexibility of being able to go into high(er)-light plants down the road. the first box of plants is from Bob’s Tropical Plants. i’ve ordered from them once before and was so-so about it. i’m feeling the same this time as well. the java fern mat, which is the reason i ordered from them, is super healthy and i am very happy with it. the guppy grass is really healthy too. those bulbs that you see though, idk about. two of them are aponogeton crispus. the one sort of off to the side i think is a tiger lotus bulb. i can’t tell if that little (dying) plantlet above it was once connected to it, or if that was an extra. just gonna toss it in and see what happens, tbh. the bottom picture is what i ordered from Bamaplants. i’ve ordered from them numerous times and i’m always happy with what i get. they have amazing customer service and if anything is wrong with your order, or if it’s taking longer to ship than usual, they’re quick to get in contact with you. the plant selection includes blue hygro, rotala rotundifolia, hygro corymbosa, hygro corymbosa ‘siamensis’, dwarf saggitaria, cryptocorne wendtii ‘bronze’, narrow-leaf anacharis, hornwort, red root floaters (!!), and italian vals. also, i wanted to add that the folks at Bamaplants included two cool packs in my box without me having to pay anything extra. and, they went as far as to write that this box couldn’t be out in the sun. you seriously cannot beat their customer service. also, there are two more items that i got that aren’t pictured. first is sunset hygro from a local member on plantedtank. if you live in NC and want their UN let me know. sunset hygro can’t be shipped across state lines, and the five stems they gave me are really healthy. second, is hygrophila pinnatifida which i ordered from Bamaplants. they didn’t send it because it wasn’t quite ready to be shipped and would’ve likely suffered on the trip from Alabama to North Carolina. so they’re sending it to me a little later on at their own expense. i’m really happy about that, b/c hygro pinnatifida is my favorite plant and i think i’m finally experienced enough to really take care of it. so yes! there’s my plant order. can’t wait to take everything out of QT! ♥

before and after. got rid of some frogbit and gave the glosso a quick trim. I’m gonna take that food dish out and plant some of the cuttings there, i think.
