Out of the eight former students that escaped the Fall of Beacon, Tanner was possibly the most affected by the events that unfolded. Not only because of the widespread destruction and death he witnessed, but also because of the sudden and heart shattering betrayal of Mai Pembe, who was revealed to be a double agent for the White Fang. Her betrayal only leaves Tanner heartbroken and confused as to why she would betray everyone around her for a cause that’s left many dead, even some of her own kind. Now in Illyria, Tanner is struggling to adapt after the fall, but he now has a new goal in mind: Find Mai and make her answer why she betrayed everyone. ... And maybe convince her to come back and start anew.
