omg I love these stories of Walker!! Can I request a Walker x reader (pre-established relationship. Can be girlfriend or wife) where one of them wins an award and the other gets to announce and present the award to them at the event (can be either of them) <3<3
MORE THAN A AWARD
The 2025 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was, in a word, a disaster. A beautiful, neon-orange, slime-covered disaster.
The backstage area was a chaotic labyrinth of dancers in inflatable suits, influencers trying to find better lighting, and the Percy Jackson cast, who were currently huddled in a dressing room trying to prevent a diplomatic crisis.
"I’m telling you, if I get slimed, I’m retiring," Dior Goodjohn declared, checking her reflection. "I didn't spend three hours on this hair to look like Shrek’s cousin."
"It’s an honor to be slimed, Dior! It’s a rite of passage!" Aryan Simhadri countered, already wearing a plastic poncho over his suit, just in case.
You were sitting in the corner, trying to breathe through the sheer panic of being nominated for Favorite Breakout Star. You had been dating Walker for over a year, and while the fans had their theories, you two had mastered the art of "plausible deniability." But tonight, Walker was presenting your category, and the secret was becoming harder to keep mostly because he had no poker face.
Leah Sava Jeffries sat down next to you, nudging your shoulder. "You okay? You look like you’re about to fight a Minotaur with a plastic fork."
"I’m just... what if I trip? What if I pull a Jennifer Lawrence on the stairs?" you whispered.
"If you trip, Walker will probably try to catch you and trip himself, and then you’ll both be a meme for the next decade," Charlie Bushnell chimed in from across the room, grinning. "So, really, it’s a win-win for the internet."
Suddenly, a producer poked their head in. "Walker Scobell? You’re up in two minutes. [Y/N], get to your seat in the front row."
Walker stood up, smoothing out his jacket. He looked at you, and for a second, the chaos of the room faded. He reached out, squeezed your hand tightly, and whispered, "I’ll see you up there."
"You don't know that I'll win!" you hissed.
He just gave you that annoying, confident, lopsided smirk. "I have a feeling."
You hurried to your seat between Leah and Aryan. In the row behind you, you saw Walker’s siblings, Leena and Tanner. Tanner leaned forward and tapped your shoulder. "If you win, can I hold the blimp? Walker won't let me touch his trophies at home because he says I have 'greasy Cheeto fingers.'"
"Tanner, shut up!" Leena laughed, pulling him back.
The lights dimmed. The music swelled. The screens flashed with the nominees for Breakout Star. Your heart was beating so loud you were sure the person three seats over could hear it.
Then, Walker stepped out. The crowd didn't just cheer; they roared. He walked to the podium with a swagger that was 50% Percy Jackson and 50% pure Walker. He looked out at the audience, his eyes immediately locking onto yours.
"Being a breakout star is tough," Walker started, leaning into the mic. "You have to learn how to act, how to do stunts, and most importantly, how to pretend you aren't terrified when Dior Goodjohn looks at you funny."
The audience laughed, and the camera panned to Dior, who blew a kiss at the screen.
"But seriously," Walker continued, his voice softening. "This year’s winner didn't just 'break out.' They exploded. They brought a heart and a soul to this industry that it desperately needed. They’re the kind of person who makes everyone around them better even when they’re forcing the rest of the cast to play Uno for six hours straight on a Friday night."
You buried your face in your hands, laughing. He was totally calling you out.
"The orange blimp goes to..." Walker ripped the envelope open with unnecessary flair. He didn't even look at the name. He looked right at you. "The person who is definitely going to make me carry this home for them... [Y/N]!"
The explosion of orange confetti was so loud it made you jump. Leah and Aryan were screaming, jumping up and down like they’d just won the lottery. You stumbled toward the stage, your legs feeling like jelly.
As you climbed the stairs, Walker was standing there, the orange blimp held out like a sacred relic. But he wasn't handing it over yet. As you reached him, he leaned in, and under the cover of the screaming crowd, he whispered, "Told you, Ace."
You took the award, your hands shaking. You turned to the mic, looking out at the sea of neon lights. "Um... hi! Wow. This is heavy. I’m pretty sure this is just a giant orange weight designed to give me a workout."
The crowd laughed. You glanced at the wings and saw Charlie and Dior doing a ridiculous celebratory dance.
"I have to thank the fans. You guys are the most passionate, amazing people in the world. Thank you to the Percy Jackson crew for being my second family. And..." You looked at Walker, who was standing just a few feet away, looking at you with so much pride it was practically radiating off him. "Thank you to my favorite presenter. Thanks for running lines with me, for the late night ice cream runs, and for believing in me even when I was convinced I was going to be replaced by a particularly talented Golden Retriever."
"You still might be!" Tanner yelled from the audience, causing a wave of laughter to ripple through the front rows.
After the show, the "Green Room" was anything but peaceful. You were clutching your blimp like it was made of gold.
"Okay, photo op!" Charlie shouted, pulling out his phone. "Everyone get in!"
The cast piled in. You and Walker were in the center, the orange blimp held between you. Aryan was making rabbit ears behind Walker’s head, Leah was posing like a supermodel, and Dior was pretending to try and steal the award.
"Wait, wait," Walker said, stopping the photo. He looked at you, then at the blimp. "We need to address the elephant in the room."
"What?" you asked.
"Tanner actually does have Cheeto fingers," Walker said, pointing to a small orange smudge on the side of your trophy.
"WALKER!" Tanner yelled from the doorway. "That was from three hours ago!"
The room dissolved into wheezing laughter. You leaned against Walker, your head on his shoulder, feeling the cool plastic of the award in your hands and the warmth of your friends all around you.
Later, as you and Walker walked toward the car to head to the after-party, he finally took the blimp from your hands. "I've got it, Star."
"You're really proud of me, aren't you?" you teased, nudging him.
"More than I can say," he said, his voice quiet and sincere for once. He stopped walking and looked at you, the 2025 Los Angeles moon hanging bright above the palm trees. "I knew you were a breakout star the first day I met you. Tonight, the rest of the world just finally caught up."
He leaned down and kissed you not for the cameras, not for the fans, but just for the two of you.
"Now let's go," he laughed, breaking the moment. "Leah said if we're late to the party, she's telling everyone I cried when you won."
"Did you?"
"...Maybe a little."

My dream fancast for Will Solace is Walker Scobell’s brother, Tanner Scobell, because:
First of all, Walker looks like Will. Second of all, since Tanner looks like Walker (because they’re brothers, obviously), Tanner would be perfect for the “your not my type” scene!! And third of all: he is already casted as one of the campers in the show!!
Can you write a Walker x reader where they had a heated argument when usually they don’t fight, so they don’t talk for a few days. But then Walker gets sick of it and is like “we need to talk” or something like that? I just don’t know what the fight would be about tho
A House Made of Glass
The silence in
Leah living room was thick enough to choke on. Usually, a cast hangout meant chaosAryan and Charlie arguing over a video game, Dior laughing at something Daniel said, and you and Walker tucked away in a corner, whispering and laughing in your own world.
But tonight, you were on opposite ends of the couch, and the only thing being shared was a glaring lack of eye contact.
The fight had happened four days ago at a different gathering. It wasn't about anything dramatic, which almost made it worse. It had been a stupid, petty disagreement about a joke Walker made that had felt a little too much like he was making fun of you in front of everyone. You’d snapped, he’d gotten defensive, and suddenly the "easy" couple was shouting in the driveway. He’d told you that you were "making a big deal out of nothing," and you’d told him that maybe you were just "sick of being his punchline."
Since then, the group chat had been a graveyard. You hadn’t texted him, and he hadn't texted you.
"Okay, this is actually agonizing," Leah whispered, leaning over to you while everyone else pretended to watch a movie. "The vibes are rancid. Talk to him."
"He’s the one who was a jerk," you muttered, keeping your eyes glued to the screen.
Across the room, Walker was staring at his phone, his leg bouncing nervously. His siblings, Leena and Tanner, were there too, having tagged along for the pizza. Tanner, being fifteen and having zero filter, finally broke the tension.
"Walker, you look like you’re about to throw up," Tanner said loudly, not even looking up from his phone. "Just go talk to her. The silence is making the pizza taste like cardboard."
"Shut up, Tanner," Walker hissed, though his face flushed a deep red.
Leena rolled her eyes, looking between the two of you. "He’s right, though. You’ve been moping around the house for three days. You barely even fought me for the last slice of bacon this morning. It’s weird."
Walker stood up abruptly. He didn't look at his siblings or the rest of the cast, who were all suddenly very interested in their shoes. He looked straight at you.
"We need to talk," he said. It wasn't a request; it was a plea. "Please."
You hesitated for a second before standing up and following him out onto Leah’s back deck. The night air was cool, a sharp contrast to the stuffy tension inside.
Walker didn't turn around at first. He gripped the railing of the deck, his shoulders hunched. "I’m sick of it," he said, his voice low and raspy. "I’m sick of the silence. I’ve spent the last four days trying to convince myself I wasn't wrong, but then I realize I haven't heard your laugh in ninety-six hours, and suddenly being 'right' doesn't matter at all."
He turned to face you, and your heart ached at how tired he looked. "I’m sorry, [Y/N]. I was being an idiot. I thought I was being funny, but I wasn't. I hurt your feelings, and instead of owning it, I let my ego get in the way. I don't want to go another hour without you, let alone another day."
The wall you’d built up over the last few days crumbled instantly. "I missed you," you whispered, stepping closer. "I hated not being able to tell you things. Every time something funny happened, I reached for my phone and then remembered I couldn't."
Walker reached out, his hand finding yours and squeezing tight. "Never again. If I’m a jerk, call me out. Just... don't stop talking to me. It's the worst punishment I’ve ever had."
He pulled you into a hug, burying his face in your shoulder. You could feel him finally relax, the tension of the last few days bleeding out of him.
"You really didn't eat the last slice of bacon?" you teased into his chest.
"I couldn't," he groaned, a small laugh finally breaking through. "I was too busy being dramatic and sad."
When you finally walked back inside, hand-in-hand, the entire room erupted.
"Finally!" Charlie cheered, throwing a pillow at Walker.
"Took you long enough," Tanner added, finally grabbing another slice of pizza.
Walker just rolled his eyes, pulling you down to sit next to him, finally ending the longest four days of your life.
What was the silly joke Walker made that started the fight?
The fight started because Walker tried to be the "master of sarcasm" at exactly the wrong moment
.
You had just finished a really stressful week of exams and were venting to the group at Leah’s house about how you accidentally failed a super easy pop quiz because you overthought a simple question. Instead of being the supportive boyfriend, Walker leaned into his natural "inner Ryan Reynolds" energy.
As you were finishing your story, he looked at you with that classic lopsided smirk and said, "It’s okay,Not everyone can be a daughter of Athena. Some of us are just... visually talented."
He thought he was being witty and charming, playing on your "perfectionist" reputation, but it came off like he was calling you "all looks and no brains" in front of all your friends and his siblings. When you didn't laugh, he doubled down with a sarcastic, "What? Common sense is like deodorant the people who need it most never use it," which was the final straw.
You felt humiliated that he was using you as a "punchline" to show off for the cast, and the argument exploded from there, leading to the four days of icy silence
