#Tantiusques- from the #Nipmuc for “black deposit between two hills” this @thetrustees Reservation is located on the site of of of New England’s first mining operations. A 1.5 mile loop trail through the woods in Sturbridge will lead you past and abandoned mineshaft as well as the remains of an open trench that followed the vein of graphite.
