Felt like doodling the Tanuki AU!

Here goes nothing

Based on the movie Pom poko 

Everyone is a shape-shifting tanuki

After the destruction of their woods and home, the family and a small group of tanukis decided to infiltrate the humans to take them down from the inside

And the family reached their current place (Mitch as a butcher, Denny as boss of the bounty hunters, Ophelia as Internet Dictator and Pedro as the family's personal assassin)

But the family started to go too far and Pedro left

Several years later the game story takes place

There might be some changes tho I don't know what yet

Pedro is enby btw

Female body but enby

Chugging Monster Energy 24/7 to keep their human form

Their tail comes out when they start to get tired

Since they are biologically female, they once had three cubs when they lived in the woods

All three died due to the deforestation and traps and stuff

Okay, I caved and made this an AU.

So Leon is walking to work one day until he sees this elderly asian woman trying to cross the street. Seeing as no one is helping her, he kindly offers his assistance, and gets her across safely, much to her delight.

She suddenly grips his hand tightly and smiles up at him “Such a kind boy, but very sad too.” Time around them stills and Leon can only stare at the old woman in bewilderment as the air seems to glow around them “A small gift for you. May your future be bright.”

With those words the woman disappears and Leon is left standing on the sidewalk, utterly confused. He chalks the whole episode up to sleep deprivation and gets to work, only to see Chris, Claire, and Jill there. Apparently they were called there too but don’t know why and Chris immediately starts grilling Leon.

The two of course get into a heated argument so bad that Chris ends up grabbing the collar of Leon’s jacket, seconds away from an all out brawl when Leon’s body is suddenly engulfed in smoke.

When it clears, everyone looks up to see a startled Chris holding a very shocked raccoon dog/Tanuki wearing a miniature Leon’s jacket.

Basically the AU is just a cute little hurt/comfort idea where every time Leon gets really stressed out, or very upset he turns into a tanuki, and the only way to change him back is for him to relax or calm down. The old lady gave him this curse as the only way to break it is too finally be together with someone who loves you.

Which in the case is Chris, which man, there’s gonna be a lot of drama before that happens lol.

In ur tanukis au how would ritsu look like in shapeshift form?

Like a little boy, pretty much, hahah. He’s not child-aged, but with his initial power levels he can’t really maintain a more grown-up form for long. When he gets involved with Ekubo he can form and maintain a grown-up appearance instead of a tiny kid one (Mob can shapeshift into almost anything, he just prefers a youthful plain look).

They’re dressed fancy just because I feel like it (we all know in canon these guys have no sense of fashion taste).

Tanuki AU and Infection AU

Sherry immediately visits Leon when Chris tells her about his new ‘condition’. When she arrives at the base and sees Tanuki Leon looking utterly miserable, she instantly picks him up and gives him a soft hug. Leon stiffens for a moment before letting out a soft chuff and leans into her.

Leon can’t talk in this form, but he made it very abundantly clear that he did not want to be picked up, considering he nearly bit Chris’s fingers off when the older man tried, but because it’s Sherry, he lets her get away with it.

Of course this changes later on and Chris becomes one of the only other people Leon allow to carry him. Both in tanuki form and human form, much to Chris bemusement.

ANNNDDD Random infection Leon in an outfit, because reasons.

Q1. They stitched up the Titan teeth side of Chris's face? Q2. Is there a reason behind tanuki leon being different colors or was it just playing with pallets? Q3. How hard is it to keep either au version of leon out of trouble/running off by himself?

Q1: Yes they did! Out of everything, it was the easiest to fix and he was having trouble chewing his food.

Q2: I used on overlay on one of them (the sad tanuki Leon) to make it more somber. Sorry if that confused people.

Q3: Infection Leon has become overly cautious and is kinda reclusive, however in a fight he’s totally irresponsible to his own safety. He can still feel pain but bullets can’t kill him, so it's not uncommon to see him run right throw a storm of gunfire without hesitation. However as much as he wants to run off he can’t, as he's the only one that can stop Chris is he loses control.

As for Tanuki Leon, oh boy is he a handful. Fighting is stressful and in the AU when Leon is stressed he becomes a tanuki. So everyone is like, nope you gotta stay behind Leon, and Leon is like, haha, no I’m going with.

Lets just say theres this one incident where Chris is pinned up against the wall by a tyrant, it’s claws raised and ready to rip his face off, when Tanuki Leon climbs up the tyrants back and stabs it in the eye with a knife clenched between his teeth.

Leon also has the habit of sulking away when he’s a tanuki. Hiding in dark corners and spaces where no one can see him. He’s utterly embarrassed about the whole but doing this just ends up making him more miserable, prompting him to stay as a tanuki longer. However Chris and Sherry usually find him and drag him out for cuddles.

Mob doesn’t always bother hiding his ears and tail, since only people with high spiritual awareness can see them, anyway.

As far as Reigen is concerned, Mob is just a hungry kid who likes dumpster diving.

MP100 AU where Mob and Ritsu are Tanukis.

Mob has been able to shapeshift from a really young age, and routinely goes into the human world to get food for himself and his little brother Ritsu.

Ritsu hasn’t been able to shapeshift yet, which frustrates him deeply.
