bisexuality = (root: bi. origin: Latin, meaning 2, highlighting duality) attraction to two binary genders.
pansexual = (root: pan. origin: Greek, meaning all) attraction to all genders/placements on the gender spectrum.
bisexual ≠ pansexual
there is a misconception that pansexuality is transphobic. pansexuality is not rejecting the idea that trans males are not males, nor that trans women are not binary women. you can be trans and binary, of course. what pansexuality is is inclusive of non-binary people, whereas bisexuality does not include people outside the binary.
